Can we fix the long shot Problem?

Is there anyone (maybe from EA SPorts) who know how to fix the Problem with the longs shot, until yet no one knows witch parameter must be change that the shots get oftener on the Goal, it is not the Problem that they score, the Problem ist that they always miss the Goal.

I find that the Gameplay is much more better then the other Gameplays from EA Sports, but it ist VERY unrealistic that nearly 90% of the long shots miss the Game. I'm working on a Gamepay for Euro 2004, and it looks really good but i can't fix teh long shot Problem. I have tried nearly every Parameter in the ini.big, but it changes nothing for this Problem, then I ask Sevix (for me the best Gameplay Maker!) but he also can't fix it. Now I think it would be the best to ask someone from EA Sports if they can help us. Because it is not very funny that it is nearly imposible to shot a hard shot from outside the box witch will get on the Goal.

When you shot soft from the Middle the shot will get on the target, but never will scor, the same will happen when you shot from the right or left side. but from other Positions you are unable to hit the target.

I hate it, but as I said before, i don't now how to fix it.

What team do you play with? Try playing with england or something and take a long shot. It's a big difference. The better the player, the more often you'll hit the target. and it's definetly more realistic than fifa 2004, i played it the other day and every 2nd long shot was a goal.

I know the the better Players oftener hit the Target, but there are some positions fron where you cannot hit the target, The shots always miss it. and the other ting is that also a player from Iceland can hit the targen not only starplayers from England, Spain or France. Also I can shot from everywhere on the goal in a real Game, but when there is a goaly he woun't have Problems to catch the Ball. But it couldn't be that in this game Nationalplayers are unable to hit the target. The only thing that we can do ist making the shots of all players really good, then we will hit the target but weak players make many goals because of that reason. And that couldn't be the best fix for this Problem.

I totally agree with you. Besides, there are some goal keeping animations that the keepers always save the shot. I mean, some animations are just to save, and the others are just to to let the ball in. So, how diferent you attack, it doesn't matter, the game looks very scripted in time. Because keepers make the same moves when you score. I also tried change some parameters in ai.ini but it didn't work. I was thinking to ask Sevix too, but you said he could'nt do anyting. So, again, maybe in Fifa2005...

i just score from a long shot.. juz outside the penalty area.. i use wales.. and robbie savage was the scorer... it curls, pretty realistic..

You're totally right about the animations, some of the golie actions are totally useless, he just like falls backwards and watches the ball roll in right beside him. Then there's others where the keeper dives reeeeallllly far and punches the ball out. EA should make more goalie animations for next year because these are definetly not enough.
