I haven't played Career mode yet... looks like they tried to incorporate some Champ Manager stuff into it... cool, just haven't had time to get into it.
Anyway I totally agree about EA Canada.... I like this edition of FIFA and they did do some nice things to make it better BUT they always screw up lots of small stuff which adds up. If they can't get the details right then who cares if all the players are rendered realistically or that the soundtrack is cool.
In my opinion if EA Canada spent half as much time checking the details as they do worrying about the soundtrack and player faces they might put out a complete game.
It is true that EA Canada is under the EA umbrella but Madden & NCAA are made by a subcontractor named Tiburon... Obviously the guys at EA Canada failed to look at these games... they could have learned some lessons.
In NCAA look at how the online stats are laid out too... not only does it look good (like everything in the game) but you can view your opponents past 10 game opponents & scores, playing style etc.. In FIFA the only stats are W-D-L and disconnection %.
My BIGGEST gripe about online play is the fact that that you can't even use a USB keyboard to type messages, talk about tedious! THIS IS UNEXCUSABLE!!! DID THEY EVEN PLAY TEST THIS GAME ONLINE??
The freekick gauge is horrible too... online you can't even see the upswing or downswing sometimes.
These are just a few of the minor problems... yet they've got helicopters and searchlights over Henry, Ronandinho and Del Piero!!!
