I have never played WE or PES and obviously not Fifa 2004. Does anybody know how deep these two modes(career and Mast League) are and which is deeper?

well.. Master League for PES, you picked a team, and they give you generic players.. and you win/lose money every game, and then you can start buying players.

Fifa's is based on prestige, if you complete certain goals, like scoring 2 goals a game, giving up less than 50 goals a season.. you get prestige pts, that can be used to train your players, also the more prestige you have as a coach the more chances you get of getting the top players. At first you start with low prestige, so you need to build it from the lower divisions.. if you start doing things right, you will get job offers from different teams allowing you to jump around to different leagues from different countries.. while.. PES master league.. you are in the same team all the time, and if you want to change teams you'll have to restart

The ML had 3 divisions in WE6/PES2. You'd start in the bottom league with your team and generic players. If you win games you'll earn more players... If you lose games you lose points.

You can negotiate on player contracts and train a youth player.

The master league has been really improved in PES3, allthough i still think Fifa goes deeper into the rabbits hole

and probably the best sports simulation ever created. One of the top 3 playstation games ever....

I bought a PS2 JUST FOR THIS GAME, it blows everything else out of the water !

Wininng eleven 7 is the only game running on my PS2, even though i own more than 20 games.
I'd never touch Fifa because it insults my footballing skills.

WTS 2003 Has Right Righteousness As Well

The Career mode in WTS 2003 has a right righteous character as well w/full transfer market support (though not as dynamic as Konami) and ability to play multiple seasons of the Europe (UEFA CL, UEFA Cup, Toto's Cup to get into the latter 2) or maybe a modified Libertadores South American...

(suggest tweaking the Mexican & US MLS Teams for best results perhaps making an elite "Super Preliminary League" using other top CONCACAF/CONMEBOL club teams by overwriting teams as desired within Mex/MLS using EDITING TOOL and THEN competing within your "SUPER" league for a place in the generic WTS 2003 "America's Cup" that would *normally* feature Argentina/Brazilian/Mexican/MLS teams. Just change Dallas to Penarol, San Jose to Universidad Catolica, etc, YGTP. TURN TRANSFERS OFF BEFORE STARTING SEASON or use MEMORY CARD WORKAROUND from www.gamefaqs.com; otherwise you lose data/whole point of career mode. Amen. Bother not w/Brazil/Argentine teams except maybe for the crap ones.)

...and of course Asian/Oceania Cup featuring J League, K League, Saudi Arabia, Australia, & add as desired w/EDIT. Amen? Amen.

I had put FIFA on probation since 2002. Will evaluate as necessary. I like the potential data for its career which allows for movement from team to team. WTS gives you good management w/team of your choice BUT Konami is dynamic w/the whole transaction chain in ML (Player AND AI REAL LIFE RULED TRANSFERS!).

Like perfect. Righteous.

Its gonna be some Christmas. Looking at Tiger Woods 2004, NBA Live 2004 (possible), the Sega NCAA 2K series, All Star Baseball 2004 (real life management is tremendous; Lavan Chandran tremendous. This game has Rule 5 Draft! Tremendous!). But for now...

Stick w/WTS 2003 unless Konami is in local store. Aw shucks I might buy it anyhow. We'll see. Budget.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dont get fifa 2004 the career mode is ****e its well unrealistic i sold fifa 2004,what it is you can pick to be in any division and when you win matches you get points to train players and they get better, but the transfer system is ****e you dont offer contracts or negoitiate you just over the team money and if they accept hes yours HOW UNREALISTIC wat bout talking with the player about a contract, and its only for 5 seasons. pes3 though you can sign young players and make them world class, offer contracts and negotiate with players about there salary YES you pay there salary, and you need to renew contracts when they end TOTAL REALISM, and it gos on forever

Let me ask you something dude. What's the point of having a deep career mode if your gameplay isn't there? And trust me, the Master League has been around for about 7 years now, so you should expect it to be much more realistic than FIFA's, and it is.. Much more fun too...
