changing options in middle of tournament

how do u change the lengh and difficulty options while in the middle of the euro2004 tournament? i managed to do it a few times but it changed back when i reloaded the tournament and now i cant rmember what i did

you have to save the options to your profile

how? i go into my euro or what ever its called change what i want then exit and on the way out i save it, then when i go into the tournament it didnt work

When the game starts it asks if you want to load your profile. Did you pick YES?

yup, and ive tried saving the options then directly loading my tournament.
