Config.DAT file

Ok I just did a fresh install of Fifa06 and now I cant open my config File. I have tried using BIGgui but it doesnt work. I also tried notepad and it just opens a load of crap up. Before I did the re-install I had it open and could edit it fine
Can someone tell how to get it open again ??

Try Filemaster 06 to open it and extract the ini files inside it

.....oh s*%t, no i havent, How do you open it in Biggui, so you can edit the ai.ini, career.ini,common.ini etc files ???

Hi, mate ! To edit config.dat you need
+ BigGUI
+ gfxpak
+ EA Graphic Editor
+ notepad

(1) + must decompress config.dat, open notepad, add this line

gfxpak.exe -decompress config.dat new.dat

+ Then save as decom.bat (FIFA 06 main folder)
+ Place gfxpak.exe here (FIFA 06 main folder)
+ Run decom.bat (gfxpak will decompress config.dat as new.dat, remember the size after decompressing > old file)

(2) + open new.dat with BIGGUI, there are a lot of files, export, edit , then importing with EA GRAPHIC EDITOR

** NOTE: If it doesn't work, you can try this:

Open config.dat with HEX EDITOR PROGRAM (example: HEX WORKSHOP). You will see "BIG4", replace to "BIGF".
WHY ?

The big file which you can open with EA or BIG GUI is "BIGF", but config.dat is "BIG4".

After that you can open with BIG GUI, then export.

If still nothing, please show me your email, I will send you decompressing config.dat.
