i always play on amatuer the first few weeks of each fifa game till i get the new controls and skills down, then i'll move to professional.
as for now im just trying to unlock all the teams.

World Class finisher...
can't imagine how you guys can won the WC at world class level.
what i encountered in professional level are:
1) can't head the ball when is on air. always lost to opponent
2) opponent close me down too quickly. How on earth they can just touch my player and the ball is on their feet already???
3) Even if i tackled the computer player, my player fall and they still keep on going...how to win like this?
4) do the computer player ever get fatigue? i always give away my first half lead in the second half, worst conceding 3 goals in second half...!!

i just won 3 matches all in Professional mode.....
Italy vs France all 3......me being italy......
2-1
3-2
2-0
and the headers work fine...its all about timing...i win 75 % of the headers in Pro mode...
and i use good ol' keyboard

well, what I do:
1.) NEVER EVER let the computer touch the ball, cause then it's pretty hard to get it back.
2.) try to make some cross passes, or at least some pretty exact passes.
3.) try NOT to make passes to the open wild, cause it will most likelly be a spot where the computer is (they're ****ing know everything :P).
4.) DON'T wast free-kicks, penalties, or corner kicks with some crazy play, just score

mainly that's it, I think I know more how to play against humans than computer, cause I don't plkay against the computer that often...
I found that if you used one of the skills inside the manual, you'll be able to get past the defenders very easily.

I tried this out in Professional Mode and it works 9 times out of 10 using Star Players with very fast speed and ball control attributes. If I used the normal players, it doesn't work as well, about 5 out of 10.

I play pro-mode, and so far I've only lost once, which was my third game, a friendly against Scotland (0-1), I'm still not sure why the ref gave away the penalty since the tackle was from the front and legal... I've won the WC twice (Uruguay and Spain) and I'm currently in Quater-Finals with Japan.
The key is to never play on beginner or amateur, you should directly start playing on pro or world class, call me crazy but the game becomes very easy this way. The only problem I'm still having is when the computer blasts the ball foward and the attacker is always 20 meters past my defence (isn't he always? ) and no off-side is called when it's clear that not even Diego Tristan could of covered that distance in a split second.
If you want to make the game even harder, I suggest you try it on slow mode... at least I find it harder that way.
