the difference is that if Gio had got a red card for that, today some spanish press would be saying that Becks is a very intelligent player ... in Spain divers are congratulated for helping its team

It should be the players association who punish that. Every week, in every team, there are players who do dive.

im calm now, so heres what i would rate the players:

figo: excellent, i hope he continues like this till the end of the season. the red card was the downfall of real imho, and more than the second, the first yellow was undeserved.
zidane: was also very good, i dont know what you guys are ****ting on him.
raul: goddamn lazy bastard, try a little :). i think solari and ronaldo should play together till the end of the year.
beckham: he started to get noticed after figo got sent off, since he started playing on the wing.
ronaldinho: i expected much more...still, he turned the game around with that one move. but id put him in 3rd place for this game, 1st being valdez, second figo.
defence: was doing pretty good. and r. carlos shot some rocket shots again :).
puyol: **** him :). he saved that one goal, figo got sent off, and there was no ronaldo to rape him.

The Officiating Was Awful - Figo

04/26/2004. Luis Figo, who was sent off during Real Madrid's 2-1 loss to Barca, believes that the officiating for that match was terrible and that the referee went out of his way to hurt his club.

"I don't know what is going on with the referees, but all the calls seem to be coming against us. There was no malice in my two tackles and I don't think I deserved two yellow cards," he said.

"If it was another club, the referee would have kept his whistle in his pocket but because we are Real Madrid these calls always come against us," he added.

Real Madrid gave up the winning goal with only ten men on the field and is now a point back of Valencia at the top of the standings.

look, he was just really pissed. fact is some calls were in our favour this year, but calls that are in the opposite team's favour DO EXIST, even if everyone thinks real buys all the games.
figo knew he had a good game on him, and that statement was probably right after the game, he must've felt real dissapointed.

Of course aother teams receive calls that favours them, but they also recive calls against them. The problem is that Madrid hardly ever receives an unfair call against them.
