I've never played Pro Evolution Soccer 2 (it doesn't have any demo), and I'm curious to know if it's worth to buy the game. I'd like to know more about the game, and what's your opinion about it. Can tou tell me more about the gameplay and if the game has the real players?

Of course it's worth buyng, 1 million times more than fifa though...

Actually no and yes.
The game ISS Pro Evolution 2 was only released for PSX but can be played on PC using emulators such as ePSXe and VGS.

It is waaaaaay better than all FIFA games except FIFA RTWC 98 which I think still is competitive thanks to the number of teams, the qualification, the real leagues and better speach among other things.

In the game play aspect when it comes to reality, ISS Pro Evolution rule.

but i can say one thing i just tried Pes on ps2 and damn the gameplay rocks soooo if there are any fifa2002 fans or WTF you call you self Try Pro Evolution soccer and you will never go back to fifa2002 !!! but you much know if you only rent a ps2 and the game you will get pretty Mad when the time comes and you will have to give it back to store !!! i know !!!
.i will give fifa2002 overall 7.4 and Pes will get 9.3 the gameplay offcouse gets 9.9 !!! bye

are they players real?? real names, clubs, etc?? even though i know EA still screws that part up enormously its still an important factor in a sport game.....

i think i played the first ever ISS but that was a couple years ago (3-4 years) and they didn't have the real players.....again i'm not sure so correct me if i'm wrong

Playes name !!

Some playes got the real names and some got names like this
R.Carlas = R.Carlos from Madrid !! / Romerio = Romario or something like that but you can change the name with the pretty good editor in the game. and save it to the memorycard !!! is that okay for you... but for me the gameplay comes first and this gameplay rocks!!

ps. if you not yet have tried the Game Pro Evolution soccer go and rent it. you will not be sorry to pay that small monny = 10$

I own PES FIFA2002(P.C) and This is Football. Fifa2002 ranks as the worst of the lot, the game is poor and i haven't had the chance to try the updates that everyone is raving about. I mainly play these games with human opponents, the fact that in both FIFA and PES you cannot seem to create a multi-user tournament is a bit bad really.

If your playing with friends, the most enjoyable game of the bunch has to be TiF, It does have a few gameplay bugs and isn't perfect but is a lot better that FIFA

PES seems to have put player animation back a few years, I have never seen such robotic movement in a football game for a long time. I don't seem to be playing FIFA or PES anymore, what a total waste of money. Can anyone say 'commentary' ?????

PES' commentary is non existent, you have someone talking in the background as you play, now that's not commentary, Tif's commentary is leagues better that PES, oooh sorry, Tif has commentary, i'll leave it at that.

I think i'll be hoping that the next generation of football games are better and more polished that these three half-hearted attempts


PS - It seems to be that a few die hard ISS fans don't like PES, hmmm why would that be, maybe because the game is a bit over-rated....

i dont know but i do now think that the player animation has be put back a few years ! i think that the players Models look much more Realistic then Fifa2002 !.
i also have tried This Is Fotball and the game is not bad! but damn to easy for me i dont know about you !
ps, The commentary sucks in Pro evolution soccer you got that Right but i dont care to much becouse the Gameplay is Great !

Animations are the best of an football game. If you have played the game, play it for longer than an Hour, it takes time to ge used to.

It is quite insulting to compere PES with stupid games like FIFA and TIF.

Why can't some people handle the depth in a game.

Dady just go and rent the game, if you love football you will definately love this game. Go to the ISS and PES forum they will help you there.
