We (fifamania.it) have given the permission to apollox to use our files in his megapatch (he had already put them without asking, like all your files) mainly because we know that the inclusion of our files in such a patch cannot hurt our (good) reputation as it could have been if apollox would have told everyone that he was not releasing this patch in time only because of fifamania guys. It sounds like a threat and this was as it sounded to me too, the first time I heard it by apollox.
Moreover, I still think that he did not publicize this patch in this forum before the release only to avoid the arguments are coming out now.
We accepted only because he was very careful with credits and credited every single site from which he took the material. And of course we accepted because of the "subtle" threat.
Being said, if even a single person or a website comes to me now or tomorrow or in the future days, claiming that he does not want to see the patch publicize in our site (or even worst: that the patch does not work at all!), I will immediately delete it, without saying who asked me to make it. Why? Because I think that this is how things should be done.
And I think that there is no reason why a person like apollox could forget to ask permission (he told me that he would have taken months to ask everyone) to every single site if he can take their files. And it is even more heavy when a person does not ask permission to such active people such as me or FC Valsui or everybody else here!
But I know perfectly that he did not asked us because, instead of having 26 new leagues, now he would have made a megapatch with 3-4 new leagues only: because quite nobody would have given him the permission to do such a megapatch alone.
And, according to us (I'm talking for fifamania now, I think), it is not only a matter of gratitude, but it is also a matter of assistance and quality insurance. What do I mean? I mean that, for such a patch, we cannot give any assistance to anyone because we don't know how it is made: so every single person who come in our forums asking to fix problems of the patch, should be redirected to a foreign forum. And this is not our policy! Moreover we absolutely guarantee the quality of our patch, but not the quality of our patch in such a megapatch. How can we guarantee that the career mode will work fine in such a big megapatch?
Lots of editers here and all those who wanted us signing that "cooperative list" thread forget this things: they forget that we pay for our sites (as Keegan explained), they forget that we give a great support to our patches, they forget that we can guarantee a certain level of quality of patches. These are all things that cannot be guarantee and clear enough in such an hidden, ghost project.
Finally let me tell you something: for the Fifamania Superpatch 09 I asked every single editer for every single creation we inserted in the patch. And, moreover, we insert credits directly INGAME! This not to say: "we are the best". This to say that this is how things should be done.
As I have already told you in the other thread: you don't need to ask us to use our regenerating tools and so on (those are tools made only for public use, not to increase the number of downloads), but you absolutely need to ask us if you want to take our patches. And we will take into consideration your patch and then we will give you an answer.
Unfortunately this year I have already done this error twice I think. The next year it will not happen anymore!
