First of all I must say that, FIFA2000 is the most disappointing FIFA game I have ever played… The reason is, that it is too much of an arcade game, and since football is a game of strategy, it really is the worst Fifa game ever…
So EA, please concentrate on the gameplay, this time. Make the pitch bigger/larger and remove that total unrealistic "Take the ball away, tackle", I am talking about key D. Instead you could make key D, to a block button instead, so when a player comes toward you, you could block the ball away from him, that way the ball would just roll away, and the chances for stealing the ball would be 50/50, and isn’t it that way football really is about??….
Okay, that was my main priorities. Here is what I would like in FIFA2001:
1: Bigger/Larger Pitches. It should be different from pitch to pitch.
2: The D Button should be a Block button instead of a Steal button, since it is unrealistic.
3: The spectators should be put in groups and colours. So you could see who supports whom.
4: More chants, Singing from the spectators, and a Wave could be nice too.
5: Players getting dirty during the game.
6: Improve the Goalkeepers AI, because he is the worst I have ever seen.
7: More realistic result, such as 3-2, 1-0 and so on, coz results like 14-12 or 8-16, doesn’t happen.
8: Coaches standing on the sideline shouting, line referees and medic’s.
9: Remove the 360 spin, and make some more real moves instead, which still only will be useful from time to time, instead of all the time.
10: Make unlimited kits in the game, so those kit designers who make kits, will be able to use all of them at the same time, and at the right team.
11: Play over the Internet. Well if you don’t implant this in FIFA2001, I cant say what I’ll do to you guys. It is the least you can do, for all of us who plays in tournaments.
That’s all. So EA Sport, I hope you at least would take a look at my suggestions, coz I believe it would make FIFA, the best football game AGAIN.
