Game dont use qualify rules.

First of all, sorry for my english, i hope this text will readable

Well, a little background of my problem.

i installed CEP 5.0 in my fifa. then a i made a few changes in the mexican leagues (Kits, rename clubs, promotioned teams) after that, i added costa rica league from ligas sudamericanas patch from fifa argentina. Only costa rica league, i exported in other instalation with CM07, and added in the mod CEP game. Besides, i added CONCACAF leagues (canada, Caribbean, UNCAF) from concacaf patch by Donovanfan of this forum.

well, after all of this, i wanted create a concacaf champions league tournament with the new format of the this tournament (will be play this year) is a preliminary round -> Group Stage -> knockout stage.


But there is a problem here, the game mix the groups and the preliminary round apparently random!.
This make me angry!, because, in concacaf champions, there are 4 mexican teams and 4 mls teams, these are the most strong teams (in theory), and randomly, i have 2 groups with 3 mex/mls teams and groups without any of them!. Unbalanced groupS as results >=(.



i tried to find a solution. I made a world club champ with 8 teams, with a group stage (4 teams each group) semifinal -> final. In this tournament, the game DONT mix the group!, i believed the preliminary round make a some problem, so, i eliminated the preliminary round in concacaf champions and i added a playoff tournament at end of regular season of every concacaf league, the winners qualify to the concacaf champions of the next year (with other teams qualified direct). But, the game still mix groups!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!

I try to summarize the structure of my tournaments.


World Club Champ

8 teams

UEFA champions finalists (2 teams)
CONMEBOL, Libertadores finalists (2 teams)
CONCACAF champions winner
AFC champions winner
Arab championes winner
winner of playoff tournament of last year (in that playoff are runner up of concacaf, AFC & Arab; and the winner New Zealand league)

RESULTS:
The game DONT mix groups, i always have groups with 1 uefa team, 1 conmebol teams a 2 more teams(according qualify rules). Work fine!



Concacaf Champions League

16 teams

2 Mex teams (winner & runner up)
2 mls teams (winner & runner up)
winners of other concacaf leagues (Canada, costa rica, guatemala & UNCAF)
8 more teams; winners of playoff tournament of last year (in that playoff are the following best one of the concacaf leagues; some leagues have more slots than others)

RESULTS:
there are the 16 teams i expected, but the game MIX the groups!!! dont respect the qualify rules, i have unbalanced groups and heavy headache!. Apparently is random >=(.

Somebody has found a solution for this?, i think is must exist a solution!, since the world club champ dont mix anything!! must be?, heeeelp!!!! i at edge of sanity!! XD,

I've experienced the same problem a million times and have had limited success solving it. It seems that the larger the tournament is the more easily FIFA gets confused.

Anyway, Try using tournament ID 110. Then toggle "Qualify from previous year" back and forth. I can't remember which setting finally worked for me but manipulating those two things eventually got my simple tournaments to work.

Still, as I said, with large tournaments I eventually ran into problems I couldn't solve.

I'm told '08 tournament making works fine but I haven't tried.

ok, in my fifa with CEP, tournament ID 110 is Africa Cup Nations, I switched with concacaf champions, (was ID 268), I will try soon in carrer mode if works.

but, only work with ID 110?, may work properly with ID number below or greater than 110?, I confused

Not at all. Just isn´t perfect

well, for example 111 and 109 don't work. I think it's random which work and which don't. I used to have more of them memorized but could only remember 110 without testing some.

Yes the fifa isn't a perfect game, every time I want to edit it the fifa crash or get an error messege.

O_O, I suppose find those IDs needed much work & time!, pity that you do not have kept that valuable information


well, I tested in carrer mode with new ID, its works!!!! FIFA dont mix the groups anymore! I quick simulated 3 seasons.
But, the tournament dont be playable since the first year (before ID change was playable), I already seen is a common topic in forums. I suppose those ID has reserved for tournaments like UEFA Champions League or UEFA cup.
I dont have any problem wait a year to play a champions league, just, I hope will not produce any conflict with other tournaments. Well, I will test some carrer with teams of some leagues.
Unfortunately, I seen some weird things in quarter finals as you said me, for example, winner group "X" vs. 2° group "X",

, so bad dont exist a manager master utility for 07 or a new version of carrer evolution for fix these "bugs" in game.
