Generic face replacement grey/silver hair issue.

Hey guys,

Here's my problem. I am using custom face textures, default ea head models and mixed and matched stock ea hair models on players. For example; Raul Meireles is using a custom face texture, default head model (1526) and ea's mohawk hair model (63). I have managed to get Moutinho, Hamsik, Mata and Bonucci looking great using this method. But there is a problem.

Any stock ea hair model I use is always coloured grey.

I cannot find any haircolor rx3's this year and the db haircolorcode reference doesn't work due to the fact the headclasscode for the player is now 0.

I hope someone has figured out either where the haircolor textures are, or how they are assigned to hair models this year.

Any help would be appreciated.

In FIFA 12 , the hair model include haircolor !

Because you used to use generic hair model (All generic hair model was sliver). You can extract table player to excel , then using filter hair model include hair color you need !

Using your method, there are many players with the hair I want and the colour, but they are generic players, so how do I apply the hair model and colour they are using to my edited player Meireles? What I'm asking is, is there an blonde texture for the type 63 hair model for example, or is it applied via the database? But because I want a custom face model I need to have the player on 0 headclasscode, doesn't this make the game ignore the db head references and just look in the sceneassets folder?

If I can find the 512x512 blonde texture for that hairtypecode 63 mohawk model, my problems will be solved.

You can use hair model of other players which has specific face .
The texture of hair was 256*256 (In Fifa 11 it was 512*512).

File Master 12 says the hair texture is 512x512 and I thought it was 256x256 in Fifa 11???

I have tried using specific face players hair models but they clip on heads other than the exact one they were made for.

For instance, I used aguero's hair on Hamsik. The only other way I can think of around this is the way you do it, using the whole model of another player ie agueros head and hair model for hamsik or mix and matching.

That's the alpha isn't it? Isn't the actual texture the other "FILE 1" in there man? The one thats 512x512?

In FiFa 11 , the size of texture haircolor was 512*256 .

You can create databse(by excel ,access...) as me :

ahh ok that makes sense that fifa 11 it was 512x256.

Thats a great layout, I'd be able to go through all the players with faces and see what would match what and organise by team. And seeing the RX3 converter and CM12 are going to be a while away, this will do nicely. Saves me going through every single player in Fifa to look at thier hair and faces.

So maybe I'm missing something here Leezhong, but have you been able to apply stock ea hair models (with colors) to any of your players using custom face textures? Or have you had to replace them with ones from players with specific detailed faces?

...wait, have you just typed that out, or have you actually converted the team name and player names from numbers to letters?

Update:

Doesn't matter, have given up on using stock hair models and will concentrate on using other players specific models.

It can be done

With the generic hair models the hair_****_0_textures.rx3 file uses a grey/silver texture and i assume this is then coloured depending on the value set for each player using this hair model in the databse. So the reason the hair is appearing silver is because when a player has a generic face and hair model the game looks in the database to obtain that player's hair colour code. For players with a specific head and hair model I don't think the game needs to use the hair colour code from the database because the texture in the hair_****_0_textures.rx3 file is the colour/texture that is mapped on to that player's hair model.

If you give an intitally generic player a specific head model and then use the deafult hair model and hair texture the game no longer will look for that player's hair colour in the database instead it will just use the grey/silver texture stored in the hair_****_0_textures.rx3 file. If you wish to change the colour you will have to export the 512*512 texture from this file and edit it in a graphics programme, I use gimp. Then you can import this texture back into the file with the texture editor or I think filemaster would work also.

To give an example I gave Neymar a specific head model with a custom face texture but used EA's default hair model and texture (i think this was hair_63 or something). I then made a custom texture and imported this into the hair_texture file with the texture editor. Here's the result.

Yeah figured the db was ignored once the headclasscode becomes zero.

I have been trying to colour the textures myself but couldn't find any easy way to do it. They would always pixelate and not colour the whole texture. I will give GIMP a test and see how it goes.

I don't mind that result of yours, it beats the default model easily.

You can use hair model of Baloteli for Vidal , Hamsik , Neymar , Shaarawy and Meirelles .
