Am I the only the only one who thinks that the master league is really difficult? :( Now I am a beginner at the game but still I can win easily in the other parts of the game on normal.

Any tips from the pros? :D

Cheers

Iss 1 or 2 ?
Should be the same, but I haven't started hard master league on iss 2 yet.
On Iss pe 1 - Play 5-3-2 or 5-2-3, but always try to keep a clean sheet. That way, you either get a draw or a win, and bonus points. First thing to buy is a very fast attacker to get goals. And yes, play ol Arsenal footie ( looooong ball ! ). Try a passing game and you'll languish at the bottom for a very long time

Gabriel's right , play 4-4-3 or even 3-4-3 and set your wingers out wide , you could also try putting , for example , Roberto Carlos on the right wing and let him cut in to score with his left foot.

yeah, when i was a beginner, i used to play 5-3-2 but i am telling ya, this defensive formation cannot work in Level hard.
At most u will get a draw, but i was naive to think that by packing 7 players in my box, i can draw the game. usually a good cross by the PC will kill u.

in level hard, u have to attack.
any formation can work for me, 3-5-2, 4-4-2, 4-3-3
except 4-5-1, bcuz i dunno how to use it.

Well, just goes to show how great this game is. I played my first season or two on Hard using 5-3-2 and I did extremely well.
Now that I have great players I play a 3-5-2 and can be damn devastating ( beat Barca 6-1 the other day )

yeah man, canoe said it, it feels damn good whenever u thrash the PC by such a huge scoreline. :)

snakeEyez, u can buy the classic player after u unlock them later, no problem at all.
the same is true if u create your own players later and wanted to buy them into your master league team.

I play hard level in Master League. I always use 4-3-3 formation and bought two speedy wingers who can shoot (Beckam and Kewell). I also bought a skillful striker (Batistuta) who is good in the air and also good at setting up goals for my wingers. I also play Roberto Carlos as a wingback and he scores a lot of goals from outside the box.

I've been very successful in the Master League, finishing in the top two every time for the last half dozen seasons.

Hey guys wassup?

I'm new here to this forum. I was just reading through everyone's comments about the Master League and am quite suprised that some people find the Hard setting difficult.

I think it could have been harder to score but it is not too dificult. To be honest I find I far too easy when you have a full team of stars and Normal. I kept thrashing everyone easily (especially if you have a good strike force).

Normal is good to start off with in the second division. Then it is better to switch to hard when you feel confident and have a lot of stars in the first division.

As for formations, I love to create my own! I play a 3-5-2 but my wing backs (Overmars and Thuram) are right on the touch lines. this way the oppositions full backs are nowhere you and with fast players you can speed right down the pitch and cross.

And players that I feel are good are:
Shevchenko (very fast and can score from almost anywhere) and also Fillipe (real name Felipe of Rio De J) is a good DH with a powerful shot.

I hope KCET reads this so that they can fix that problem you just mentioned. When you put someone very near to the sideline it is too easy to jusr run and cross, I hope they'll improve this by making the marking smarter(which should be the main priority for the next game anyway).

I was reading one of the comments that a people was pointing out to. "It feels damn good when you trash the CPU." Why doesn't fifa01 have the same feeling? And, concerning the formations, I edit every position and I move the lines forward. When the game starts I use offensive and counter attack and I'm only using 3-4-3 formation and normal difficulty. AC MILAN rules!!!!

R U are talking about Fifa2001 or ISS PE2?

and Fifa2001 dun give that senasational feeling bcuz in my opionion, u dun need Brains to play it.
