How close can you get!

I was well p**sed off with this. Me playing as Man utd and Arsenal and Newcastle had a very close season. We were all changing positions throughout the season and our final game i was 1st Newcastle 2nd Arsenal 3rd and Man Utd and Newcastle both drew our games and Arsenal won there's so we were level but they won on goal difference Dam! Anyone had a seaon like that and that close?

Yes. I was Leeds and i lost the league to Arsenal. My goal difference was 10 times better and we finished both on 90 points. But they had beaten me on Elland Road 3-2 and on the last day of the season i faced them at Highbury, i was winning 3-1 and then Jeffers came on as a sub and the game was 3-3.

When I was playing Chelsea on CM4 (just for the money) the table before last match was this:

1 ManU 76
2 Chelsea 75
3 Arsenal 75

ManU was winning, until the 70th minute, where they conceded 2 and lost with 2-1.
I had to play Southampton: I conceded the goal very fast: 1-0, was also the halftime score. My team scored the 1-1 very fast in the 2nd half. It stayed this very long, I had given up my hope for the championship already, until the 93th minute. A countre and Zola scored a beautiful lob over the goalie: 2-1.
Arsenal won with 3-0, but that didn't matter, I had beaten them 2 times, so I was champions....

Lost the league on the final day, needing to win as Montpellier against Nantes to take the title, I proceeded to be leading 3-2 in the 94th minute and then they scored to make it 3-3 and some other team had me on GD (by less than 5 goals IIRC)..
