I take it your one of those people that get wowed by skills and tricks, joga bonito pftt, i bet your favourite players C.Ronaldo?

Anyway kick-ups are a waste of time, practise something more constructive like shooting or dribbling.

Incidently, Rui10Costa your sig makes me want to be Portugese :(.

I can do atw, but its important to practise other aspects of the game rather than just focising on kick-ups/freestyle moves etc.

just practice. yes its easier with a flatter ball. Practice and it'll come eventually. I used to be frustrated by my 6 or 7 juggles average, but I practiced and gradually I've got the hang of it. And now I can even do some simple freestyle tricks like ATW and whatever the other ones are called.

PS: to do atw it is best to started practicing with the ball stalled on your foot. Stall it but don't hold it too tight, keep it loose so that when you move your foot the ball doesn't get stuck. The just quickly lift your foot over and around. Takes a few days of practice.

Well i don't play football at any club, but i play with my friends daily on holidays and 1-2 times a week during school.
But i'm kinda good at football. I've been scouted twice by some people from FC National club in Bucharest. I refused to go though, school comes first:)

I can't tell you much about ball juggling, since it's useless in the actual game. But when i practice i use a different technique.
I stay infront of the wall close at around 1 meter, and i try to kick the ball into the wall, and then kick it again without letting the ball reach the ground. I do this many times with each leg, then i start to kick it once with the left leg, then with the right ... to alternate. It's good cause it improves your skill in stopping the ball. Then i start to alternate with the head also.
left leg - wall - right leg - wall - head -wall - head - wall - left leg - wall ... etc
Then i start varying on this. I try more complicated things ... I move to around 5-7 meters to the wall, maybe more ... and start kicking the ball into the wall with more power ... the ball comes back i try a stop (without the ball reaching the ground) and then shoot it back to the wall. I stop with the left leg and shoot with the right and after that stop with the left right and shoot with the left. You can try to juggle the ball a few times before kicking it back to the wall.
The wall i use has a wooden bar somewhere at the height of 3 meters. I then try to kick the ball from dropkick to hit the wooden bar. I can't hit it always, but being able to use dropkicks accurately improves your technique... (more accurate passes, shoots etc.)
Well i don't know what else to say... hope this helps ...
