How To Decrease Reaction Speed?

Hi all, hope it's the right section....feel free to move the thread if that's not the right place.

So, i'm using the latest Matt10's Slider + Zarze's cl.ini ....
It improves a lot the game play and it's pretty much what i want from a football game.....just one thing ruins my experience....and this' the frenetic reaction speed the players have....

They move just too fast....every change of direction...every turn...

Any way to decrease drastically the reaction speed of the players? (don't know....maybe via cl.ini or rna or whatever)....even decrease the general speed of the game would help.....

Thanks

I fixed the issue by globally lowering players' agility ratings for all players. There are a couple of quick and easy ways to do this, if you want I can explain. Same with players' speed ratings to decrease the game speed. But that's the only way.

Yeah that is what i did with Fifa11 when i had it on xbox360....a hell of a work.....
Now i'm on Pc and i'musing the moddingway patch....i often switch from different database so would be a bit annoyin every time reapply the edits....but well...if there is a program to make this process real quick....i'll give it a try for sure....let me know.

SlowFaster is a solution for you:

Slower pace and gameplay, but offline only!

I cannot imagine playing this game without Slowfaster ;)

I tried it....it's basically what im looking for.....but now i have the opposite problem....even on fast the game is too slow :bwtf: too bad there's no option to set the desired speed in this program....would have been a great tool.

Ps. Since you are playing with this tool.....are you using particular cl.ini or sliders?

I play on "Slow" with Sprint slider low (<10), Passing speed 40-45, and everything is OK.

As I know, there are two versions of SLOWFaSTER: 32 bit and 64 bit (depending on the Windows you use).
But first - check your Slider settings before playing!

Try to ask x119 on his thread. I believe he has a solution for your problem. http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=187877&page=2

I use similar sliders as well....but i think it's almost unplayable even on fast settings....it becomes a slow mo football game....

I'm using the 64bit version since my OS is windows7 64bit.

Now I'd like to give bangus suggestion a try.....but i can't find a program to edit all player attributes in one go.....any ideas?

DBM 12/14: open the db and extract the players table, open the table in Excel, find the speed rating column, globally lower the speed rating for all players by a fixed percentage, import back and save. Takes 1-2 minutes.

I do it a bit different than that because I like to have players rated 99-1. I create my own ratings scale and edit the column by hand: first 10 players rated 99, next 15 players rated 98, next 20 players rated 97, etc. and something to that effect. Takes maybe 10-15 minutes that way.

You can also open the db, open the meta file in Wordpad, find the czum squads table, and set the hi/low parameters for any rating. Example: find the speed rating and set the hi to 65 (low is 1 by default) All players in the game will now be rated 65 speed or lower. If you do this, you need to load the db in CM 12/14 afterwards, and then save. Doing that activates the edits.

Sorry for double posting.

So, yesterday i spent something like 3 hours to get it working.
At the end I won....Openoffice Calc lost. :innocent_smile_1:

I lowered these settings as follow:

agility -25%
reactions -75%
dribbling -15%
sliding tackle -50%
sprintspeed -15%
ball control -15%
balance -75%
acceleration -15%
standing tackle -50%

+ Matt10 sliders and Cl.ini

I'm not that happy with the results.....i still find some animations too rapid/fast (maybe there're other values affecting this)....
but well....better than before....later i'll try some more edits.

I've tested and edited the player ratings for three years now. Suggestions:

Don't lower reaction or ball control, they have nothing to do with the jumpy animations. All that does is negatively impact the gameplay and lower the overall difficulty.

With CPU gameplay, editing some ratings doesn't have much if any affect unless you drastically lower them. 90% of players should be 50 speed or less. 90% of players should be 25 agility or less, and the same applies to accel, balance, strength, and tackle ratings.

Dribble ratings are a whole other conversation. They do not affect dribble ability, they affect dribble probability. Also, they're programmed differently for each player; they alter and affect the gameplay depending on the player's listed position. You don't want to touch those or you'll throw the gameplay out of whack.

Thanks mate for the suggestions.

PS. i lowered some values (like ball control) becasue of my personal taste....i like to have unpredictable control...i even lowered the ingame slider. Nothing to do with animation i know....

I do as well for the same reason actually. I also lower GKs handling rating to create more rebounds and loose balls, more realistic IMO.
