Keyboard issues in Fifa 07

Hi all,

My first post on the forums as ive never encountered problems until today.

Using an external keyboard on a laptop, seems to make the menu controls go a little bananas - almost like an up or down key is stuck on - but i know it isn't because i dont get any problems in windows, or in any other application.

I consider myself fairly technical (working for the Oracle Corporation in their internal tech support).

The internal keyboard works fine on the laptop when im playing without an external keyboard and im positive from testing the keyboard outside of the game, there's no other issues...

I remember reading somewhere, either on the EA forums or somewhere else that this was a known issue, but wondered if anyone else had this problem , or knew of a fix please ?

the usb bug from fifa 06 is still in the game, even though there was an usb patch, its not fully fixed.

you can try updating all drivers for your usb devices or just unplug every usb device you dont need.

Hi Lupus, thanks for replying...

Done and done. No change, sadly... Typically when i connect my external keyboard to a different USB port, it says it can't install the hardware.

I thikn ill scrap the Saitek gaming keyboard, as i have a Logitech G15 gaming keyboard now anyway, and solely use the Saitek with my laptop. (G15 is on my decent desktop machine)

You say it was a big from Fifa 06 as well... Do you know what happens if i use a PS2 Keyboard, connected via a PS2-> USB connector and then plugged into the USB port, or using a PS2 port keyboard?
