Honestly Is not good, first of all download GIMP or Photoshop trial, because Paint isn't a good program to making kits. Second, if you had a Rhinoceros then download this: http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=193116 it helps you to preview your kit without running a game. And last, but not least, don't give up.

B ) They look absolutely fine in game, I do realise that the borders for the textures are a bit messy, but in game they look fine
I mean they aren't THAT bad in game, I'm sure I'll improve the more I do it but to me, they look fine like, especially for kits that otherwise no one would make. I see other kit makers and even their textures just look a lot better but its useable you know

You need to improve, and you'll do it with practice. If you already use PS, explore the tools that offers in order to improve the quality of your kits.
