Microsoft Gamepad Pro (USB)

First off, this is the gamepad with 6 buttons and the two triggers.

Secondly, I've done a search on the this and most replies seem to be inconclusive and are rather old.

I would like to know if EA or Microsoft came out with anything that fixes the problems (eg the Z key works like the ESC key and cannot be programmed). This is frustrating me to no ends.
