When I open iTunes, a program called "Naughty Player" tries to install itself.. what is this?

Actually no, but everyone on the LAN here at the boarding house does, so I can get heaps of music whenever i want.

The error is with "LSA Shell (Export Version)" and it happens as soon as I log on.. it eventually causes the computer to shut down, but I know how to fix that.

Rob, your best just formatting my man. Your PC is truely screwed. If you did have Anti-virus, once it found the virus it would only say "unable to delete due to I/O error"

I had the same thing, I eventually formatted and started again

Fortunately not amigo! Thanks to Norton Anti-Virus and some crazy popup from "Skynet" telling me to go to microsoft.com and get the fix for the "sasser worm", which i did. I now have my anti virus program running along with adaware pro and the full spybot.

I also keep getting a worm called w32.korgo or something.. just now actually. Heres the Norton definition of it..

W32.Korgo.V is a variant of W32.Korgo.N. This worm attempts to propagate by exploiting the Microsoft Windows LSASS Buffer Overrun Vulnerability (described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-011) on TCP port 445. It also listens on random TCP ports between 256 and 8191.

I'm now downloading the fix for Korgo.. thank god for Norton

"hijackthis" is a useful program for stopping spyware and viruses from loading if u ever want to manually delete
