Nygreen not working

when I try and use the pregame editor (nygreen), it says that it's not a valid cm4 file. Any ideas

Check that you have the right version (0.10 alpha), that the files aren't write protected, and that the editor is looking at the right files to edit (File>Options>CM Data Path).

I've unchecked the read only and archive box and it still says inknown file version. Ive already installed the enhancement pack 5, but it said the same before I installed it. How do I check which version I have?

So, is the path it uses correct? Maybe if you remove and reinstall the editor?

yeah, I have the 0.10 alpha 4 version and the path is CProgram Files\Eidos Interactive\CM4\data and the server_db.dat is there and I've deleted the editor and unzipped a new one onto the hard drive and still nothing

You could try going back to an earlier version of Nygreen's editor, if you can find it. That was made for CM4 alone, and will have less useless code that can be wrong.

I can't seem to find earlier versions of Nygreen's available. For CM4 there is also another good pregame editor available, by Jonny Rivers. You can find that here. Maybe that will work.

already tried that one, doesn't work with win98se which I use! It looks like it's not meant to be! great.
