PES 2012 Demo

For me PES only need's to improve animations. The day when PES gonna have realistic animations is the day when PES will be ahead of FIFA.

I like KONAMI, they are hard working developers. And PES 6 is still considered as the best fotball game ever made.

This year KONAMI was specially concentrated on "off the ball movement" and it looks pretty good. I was surprised how good it is this year!

But even if we look from neutral position PES have nice graphics, great ambient, many players have real faces, there is Champions League, great Master League... Shortly, they have everything, but it lack's that "something", and for me this is animations. And yes, they don't have all licensed leagues, but this is not the problem cause PES is very easy to edit. Just few days after full release there will be patches with fully licensed clubs and improvement.

PES will beat FIFA big time... And that might be very, very soon.

Even now, with that new FIFA12, when everybody's saying "how great it is and how superb close to console version is"..., EXACTLY THAT - it STILL is and looks and feels... like an ARCADE footie game, instead PES! Even the animations you mention. WHERE did you see "realistic" animations in FIFA? They are like cartoon movie.

As former FIFA user, I'm very-very disapointed with this "policy" of FIFA; they want the "CONSOLES' target group" of users and they're focusing there...

Yes, mate, I get what you mean and I respect your opinion. But as I said, PES has everything to be THE BEST. Only one thing I dont like: animations. Except that PES is great. For now, and for my taste, FIFA is better in that field, even though some moves are robotic. There will always be PES vs FIFA, and that's kinda good, cause competition is pushing both developers to make better.

Football is what matters to me, not title PES or FIFA.

And I will hold to that. I will play both, or as for now, as I have lags in FIFA, I will play PES only. EA has more money then KONAMI, but KONAMI is more passionate and looking more towards us, gamers. Unlikely EA which main goal is profit.

I started with FIFA 2001, and until PES 6 I was FIFA gamer. Best experience I had was with PES 2009. It was so enjoying for me to play that version. Now I get back to FIFA, but how things are I will probably stick to KONAMI, if I don't deal with lags, cause fu*king EA doesn't know how to optimize.

Those who got full game, should really try official 1.01 patch from KONAMI + PESEdit 1.1 patch with 1.1.1 fix (if you play online :P).

The game AI changed. GK now don't make so many stupid mistakes (they do still happen, but on much less extent). You definitely can't do ping-pong passing and try to shot. Defenders on PES are not retards like on FIFA ^^.

I play on Regular and find it tough. Sometimes I feel like Regular is Pro of FIFA now. Kudos to KONAMI for this game. I for one, don't care about animations, but gameplay... Oh my Dear Lord this is where PES always shines the most.

It's out for quite some time in Germany and rest of World. Only UK should be in 14th October date.

Well, I think that is the best for me to come back to old, good, reliable PES. I have full sh*t of lags in FIFA. PES 2009 was the best game I ever played (football game), hope I'll experience 2012 even better. From Demo I can say that I will. Can't wait!

Mate, from your experience which Patch is better: GamingAccess Community Patch or PESEdit Patch? Before I was playing with GamingAccess Patch, didn't try PESEdit. Did you try GamingAccess in previous versions?

I only trust 3 patch making teams/persons. One is Smoke. Smoke Patches are pretty good, PESEdit patches are v. well known for high quality and it shows and razib_46 with his Ultimate patches .

I can say all are good, but every patcher is waiting for DLC from KONAMI (to be released this week) to update transfers (as they are... Missing so Nasri is still in Arsenal, etc. They do it like this all the time though).

I can say full game is quite different from both demos. AI is definitely harder to break down. Goalkeepers are not horribly bad anymore, but still could be worked on.

What's important every goal you score is quite special. You get rewarded big time. But if you don't like to THINK what you're doing it's not game for you. You actually need to use brain to time passing/defending right xD.

I enjoy it. Football Life is AM-AZ-ING (new Master League/Career). Seriously FIFA will rip off this in future versions it's THAT amazing mode!!

If you think Career on FIFA is great... Football Life will blast you away with HOW REAL can game get xD.

Just to say I enjoy both games. Both have strong points and weak points, but it's worth giving both some love. PES 2012 is definitely NOT a game for impatient FIFA kids. You need at least 100 games under belt to really appreciate what KONAMI did. Don't believe me? Check how this new PES is rated by footballing press. It doesn't get lower than 8/10.

I bow to KONAMI this year. They improved A LOT. You can feel A LOT of work was done on this game.

I will wait until I get PES 2012, and then will surely come DLC from KONAMI.

I read at pesedit.com at their blog what new features the have in PESedit Patch, it looks great. So, I'll hold to their Patch probably.

I like to play smart, to think every move, to combine game etc. I don't like players who are just holding sprint and tackle button and are rushing into goal. That's why I like this year's PES, they specially oriented to "off the ball player movement" which looks great. And as you said, and as I read on other PES forums, they are all actually stunning with Football Life (Master League) and it's features.

Also, in Demos I played with Yair's patch which is improved ball physics and he will also make Gameplay Patches. Maybe you already tried Yair's patch... Anyway, I didn't know for Smoke's and razib_46's patches, but will look over it definitely.

Ok. Playing full game more and more, added jenkey gameplay patch, PESEdit 1.1 + updated transfers...

What can I say? I have my game for the season. This game blows FIFA in every aspect and those who say PES is ****, go play your beloved FIFA please. This is the best PES in years. All things you could imagine to be in PES are here.

Player individuality - check
Team individuality and different playing style - check
Not so great animations - checked, but vastly improved since last year
Goalkeepers - fixed at last! They act in natural way and sometimes they will have great games and sometimes, well Green day
Dull as hell commentators - yep. However, not as annoying as before. Dunno why.
Crowd - HELL YES! Best crowd EVER in PES game. Add in chants and it's hell-of-a-ride
Player interia - check! Yep something FIFA is missing for 10 years now. What I mean is, there are no stupid sharp stop-turns like in FIFA game, for player to make good pass you must take your player body position into account, to have clean shot you need to get rid of marker (or have high skilled guy shoting :P) or else you will float it over, etc.

As you noticed on FIFA every pass is perfect and you can shot from incredible angles, etc. Well, such things won't happen on Pro Evolution. This game has learning curve.

For anyone who says FIFA defending is hard, be very aware of the fact that 2012 defending is even harder... (and yep, fould, cards are given :P)

What people may miss are real clubs, licenses, leagues, but for me, having 5-7 big leagues only is good enough. Now playing career as Liverpool sitting on top (for now xD), having won 6 games lost 1 (vs Wigan -.-), lost in Europa League vs Stuttgart... but enjoying this.

I would recommend giving this game a long go. It's not FIFA mind you, so you can't really get it and start playing. You will need at least 20-50 matches to get accustomed to it .

I don't want to rush, but I think King is back, yea!
I need to wait for 14. October (maybe sooner) for getting, as it looks like, this amazing game.
