The fool prob thinks SOCCER is an American made word. Soccer is a version of football my friend. Rugby is also football. American football is basically a rugby remix. AAussie rules is also football. Rugby=Regulation and Soccer=assiociation both named and birthed in England in the late 1800s
Thats the exact thing Im wondering, why all the soccer/football BS. In Portugal I know it by Futebol. Now you don't see me saying football/soccer/futebol are all diffrent blah blah. Now just get over the fact that in America they call is Soccer instead of football. See thats what makes most people here very dumb because you all start fighting about the dumbest things. You first tell them to stop talking about there stories and say how dumb this thread is, and yet ive seen so many threads here about PES fans stating "oh I love this game", or "Ive touched the face of God" now you dont see many people complaining about that.
Now if you want real graphics and gameplay go watch a real game on TV. Now this is a forum and plain and simple you really can't tell somsone to stop telling there story and giving there opinion. because I know that once someone says that to you or pretty much any PES fan, they'll start cring, Ive seen in many many times.
heres a conclution for the PES fans here, if you don't like somones opinion nor agree with them then dont respond. Let these two just have there "story" and leave it at that. loublaze, I started a thread over a week ago with over 900 views and 35 replies. In it I state 15 specific gameplay deficiencies with FIFA05. This was not berating any FIFA gamer nor the game itself. It was simply an attempt to have a discussion on the gameplay merits of the title. More importantly, I invited FIFA fans to list similar gameplay deficiencies in PES/WE titles. TO date, I have not seen a single item listed there. Then I come here where you say you stopped playing WE8 because of "graphics suck and meus are rubbish".
Please, as a soccer fan I am a bit perplexed. How exactly does the two items that you complain about make a title bad for you when the title you prefer has so many (again, I listed 15) undeniable gameplay flaws that should make any soccer lover cringe? Better yet, what is it about the GAMEPLAY (ie, how the game plays, not the way it looks or the licenses) in WE8 that made you stop playing so quickly? Was it the immersive strategic elements that are lacking in FIFA? Maybe it was the fact that teams in WE8 play as a unit and you simply have more fun doing lots of tricks and 1st touch crap and score easy goals? You see, the thing that PES/WE fans always say is that we think FIFA fans really prefer their game for childish reasons like graphics and menus and licenses, etc, etc, etc. There are probably thousands of pro-FIFA posts on these boards and I have yet to read a single, factual statement from any of them on a gameplay deficiency in PES/WE. Please proove me wrong. List 3 items in WE/PES from a gameplay standing that are lacking in WE/PES!

two different games... but you must admit one thing lads. The folks at Konami can't come close to EA when you're talking of who has a better soundtrack... not that I like EA's tracks(mix) but Konami hasn't tried to put in any tracks at all execpt for the themes... they must put in tracks for 9
Alright, as an American I think I need to prove that all of us are not like the stereotypes. So, what "knowledge" of football do you have that I don't? Most likely you have been to more games than I have, simply because it costs thousands of dollars just to get over there. (I will not watch MLS, I don't like it). Also, you probably have more knowledge of your local club than I do. Just tell me what I need to do to "show" you that not all Americans are "ignorant".
not all americans are such blinded as some certain members we have here, i know that. i know quite a few americans who have beem interested in what Americans call "soccer." There is basically no difference between football and soccer, the americans just changed the name of it. in america, it's not their problem if they call it soccer, because it's a sticky word. if you said football in America, most people would think of the horribly stupid sport in which you wear pads and run as hard as you can at each other. Yes, we do get more games in the UK and Europe, but i know of a channel (FSC i believe) that has partnered with Sky Sports or something, and brings games almost round the clock on weekends, and one-hour delayed Sky Sports newscasts in the evenings and mornings. As far as i know, it's part of a pack offered by Dish Network, a prominent satelite company in the US. and of the knowledge of football.... playing FIFA simply for the graphics or "gameplay", simply shows that you know nothing about football. yes, if you do play it just for graphics and you don't care for gameplay, i guess you are like that. some people, though, would rather play a game with good gameplay, and we would sacrifice Graphics for it. That's the basic definition of a PES fan. FIFA has an arcade-like gameplay, in that the ball just goes back and forth over the pitch.You attack, CPU defends, then you attack again, and this carries on until the end of the "game." Another thing, is that PES doesnt need to have little expansion packs advertised as completely different games like UCL to make the game better. PES/WE is already about 100 times greater than FIFA or UCL. And for all the people to scared to make a list why UCL is so much better than PES, and why UCL craps all over PES, their arguments are completely invalid.basically, all they are saying is "My game is better, and thats that" without offering up any type of evidence to prove their statement. Here is my list on why PES is better than UCL.
- PES's gameplay is a big issue. In fifa you can play for ten minute halfs and have a final score of 10-0. In PES, 10 minute halfs would result in a draw or a very close win, i.e, 1-0, 1-1, 2-0, 0-0.
- controls. you have so much more freedom in set pieces. sure, in UCL you can take short corners, short free kicks, and all. but in PES, you can take short kicks, swerving kicks controled by the analogs, hard free kicks (R1 + square), weak free kicks (L2 + square), two person freekicks (you can select whether or not you want to have a single person take the freekick, or two people take it. You can also decide in a two person shot, who takes it - first person or the second.)
-PES has photo-realistic faces. sometimes you can't believe the realisim of the faces. of course, this doesnt happen with every faces, but name me ONE face in FIFA that is photo-realistic.
This list is one word - short. there is tons more that can be added, but this, i believe, already beats UCL and FIFA to a pulp.
and FIFA "fans'', feel free to post a list of why fifa is better....
