Player Transfer Help???

Greetings,

Would someone please tell me how to get players to transfer to my team? I currently finished my first season with Atlectico Madrid, winning both La Liga & the domestic cup yet I can't get a single player to transfer to the club. The response I get is .."club not prestiguis enough or its a step down".

I've tried to being the following players but they all turned me down.
Ballack
Nedved
Abidal
Diarra
Rosicky, etc etc

To top it off .. I offer double their market value.

Oh and one other thing ... Is it possible to create a player and have them play for your club once the season has started?

First, about the creating, I think you'd have to create the player before starting the season. Then to the trading, the player "might think" that your team isn't good enough for him. About that "Prestigious enough": You can see how prestige you are, in the career menu next to your manager's photo. It's the number on the right. The higher it is, the better the chance of getting a player to sign for you. Hope this helps.

Good luck. You aim too high for those players in your first season when your prestige level is 1 maybe 2 at best. The only way around it (without installing some cheat, but hey, that defeats the purpose of career mode) is to play well, build up your team prestige and improve the level of your negotiator.

Thats why I started with lower division teams and played 3 seasons before moving up to a 1st division team. It would be pretty much impossible I think (especially playing CEP) to get any of those players EVEN if you were playing Chelsea in your first season.

I moved to PSG for season 4 and managed to sign Riquelme after a few iterations of negotiating. I am at prestige level 5.

Firstly, you are wasting your money offering double to the club because that message comes from the player. The way that transfer negotiations work in FIFA 06 is that you first have to satisfy the club (if you see messages about your offer not being serious etc.) and then the player. Once the player starts bleating there is no need to play with the transfer fee, the club is ready to play ball. That message basically means 'show me the money' because even a low prestige manager can acquire players by offering them barrow-loads of money (including bonuses).

Having said all that, why bother?? Trade for players a level below and you will still be making incremental improvements to your team at far less cost, both in terms of transfer fees and weekly wages (you don't want to go negative with the latter - once you start to lose enough money that your overall budget goes negative you will get fired). Judicious transfers and use of your scout will net you a far better, more balanced team than blowing the whole lot on a couple of big names.

Is it possible to create a player and have them play for your club once the season has started?

No. Created players will only make it into a career when you first start manager mode. After that the pool of players is fixed and cannot be changed.

need of high level

hey

i know i had the same problem!!but then i found out that you need to have high player level to buy such players.IE your level should be higher than five or soething for that and you also need to have a team with at least 3 stars!!!

oh and BTW why dont you try searching for young players in other words go and search for the positions you want put the min. level on 80 and transfer status on any and then sort by age and buy players which are 18 or 19...cause after a while playing they will improve eg. i bought a korean player who was 88 and after 3 seasons he is 94.

oh and watch not to pay too much for their wage because your gonna have a small problem!!!
