Questions about generic goalie kits

I have a question about the non-authentic goalie kits in Fifa 06. Is each team given a separate goalie kit file? Or are they all stored in one big generic goalie kit file and by editing one you can edit all? I'm really sick of some of the generic goalie attire and I want to update it. I was wondering if I would have to do it for each team.

If you want to have an other GK kit, you use the Creation Centre and, either there is already a kit and you can import it directly, or you have to make "Add kit" (above the scorlling bar for home, away...) and you import this kit...

but it messes up your career!!!

Both mess up the career? Damn. I really hate Wacker Burghausen's regular red goalie kit and I just want to substitute a new one for it.

why do it mess up the career?never happened to me anyway....here's how i import keeper kits: first i import it with CreationCentre, save and quit...then i open kitraptor and import it with that. remember that you have to import it with CC before kitraptor, wont work otherwise...

maybe you are talking about a kit which is already in the database fifa.db (e.g: italy, england and some big clubs)...
but i say that if you had to add a kit in the database (with the CC, a button above the scrollbar choice of kit home away...), the DB would be modified and so, the career, which was begun before the importation, is messed up...

See that is what I'm asking.

The big teams have their own goalie kits but I'm talking about the kits that are shared by multiple teams. I want to update those because I'm sick of a couple of them.

The only way (I think) is to click on the button "Add kit" (in CC) in a team which doesn't have GK kit and import the .BMP file...but I repeat it again: it'll mess up your career... ;)

Final time I ask: So there is absolutely no way at all to put new generic kits in place of the old ones?

If you are in the middle of a career you can do no changes to the Database or your career will become corrupt.

Options:

Change which generic gk kit that a team uses.- requires a change in the database

Make a new gk kit file specifically for the team you are trying to change and then import that into a zdata that has less than 505 files. But if you do this then you have add a line in the team kits table in the database.

You can not make graphical changes without updating the database to reflect the change. The game uses the kit type 2 line in the team kits table to determine the attributes of the GK kits. i.e. the shape of the collar, which fonts it will use, where it places the numbers and names......etc etc. So you MUST edit the database also. If you add the graphic but do not change the database then the game will not use the file you just imported.
So your answer is no. Start a new career after making the changes or finish your career first and then make the changes.

yes, you can change the generic GK kits. You just need to discover the names of the GK generic kit files. I'm afraid that I don't know the correct file names, but this can be done, because I read another thread on another website where someone had successfully changed all the generic goalie kits.

You can change them. But the graphic file that gets replaced will be used by many many teams. But here is what you can do. Get the programs called EAGraph and fshED. Export all of the generic kits from the zdatas and then use EAgraph to take the bmp out of the fsh, when you save them as bmp, name them the same number of the fsh that you took them from(So you will know where to replace it). Look through the bmps to find the generic kit that you are trying to replace and then you can use fshED to import a new kit into the corresponding fsh and then replace it into the zdata using file master. Make sure to place it in the same zdata that it was originally and overwrite it. It will work and you can still play through your Career but the fonts will not change so choose a generic kit that would not clash with the number and name colors. THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY OPTION FOR YOU IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT WITHOUT STARTIN OVER. Its timely but it will work.
