Liverpool (by watching it) wont win it and I think they should go back and concentrate on the EPL and not a lost hope of securing anything in europe

easy ... there's only been one game played ...

then again ... I do think that Liverpool have a tendentcy to overestimate themselves... especially Gerard Houllier.
He always says things (in interviews after games) like we were great .. played good football ... even when they don't win ...

Valencia seemed to be in a different class to Liverpool last night. The first goal they scored was one of the best goals I've ever seen. Perfect one touch quick passing that opened the Liverpool defense up, and would have probably opened up any defense.

Liverpool seemed to come back after the break though, but never seemed in control and Hamman's sending off only made things worse, and to be fair both Hamman and Mista deserved their yellow cards for that and therefore Hamman his sending off (Although his earlier yellow was probably more due to persistant, over-aggresive tackling than the tackle itself).

Valencia is always in a different class than Liverpool who just lost their best player to AJAX. Too bad for you not to realize Litmanen's value. I'm happy to see him play, and he's too even if his salary did get lower.

I did realise his value. I don't support Liverpool :D

i'm always a fan of litmanen but too bad he want to leave us... anyway, we lost to a team that beat Real madrid to the spanish title last season with the likes of zidane, raul, roberto carlos, figo in the real's team, that is some thing not every team in this world can do, so it is natural that valencia is on a class on their own, and they are currently on the top of spanish league as well..

It was a combination of Valencia playing very well and a mediocre performance by Liverpool.

True, Valencia's passing in the first 30 minutes was sublime, and Aimar's goal was one of the best team goals you'll ever see, but Liverpool didn't help themselves by giving the ball away every 5 seconds. They couldn't string 5 passes together within the first half.

Diouf had so little of the ball that he couldn't do anything. Heskey had one chance and missed it despite rounding the keeper.

Hamann should have stopped the second goal. Where was the marking?

But then who cares. I'm glad that Liverpool lost. :D
