Resigning Players ?

Can anyone resign or extended any of your stars (players) contracts? Any time I do all I get is "Contract length demands not met". I have tried every option for years and even tried 1,000,000 a week. I googled it and it is a known bug. Just wondering what others are doing because this makes career mode kind of unplayable.

I think its either the console you are on, or either a dodgy disk. I only have a problem that happens online and now and then crashes. it needs a patch quick time me thinks
