Roster Update

Hi.
Sorry for maybe ask a stupid question but I dont understand the way this works.
I have my Xbox 360 Fifa 07 game and every time I try to play online I get a message that says that I need to update my rosters... I click download but it doesnt download anything (it says that the EA servers are not available) and I cannot play online.
My questions are: Can anybody please explain to me how all this stuff works?... where can I update the rosters so I can play online?... I need to pay for roster update?
I hope any of you can help me understand what I need to do to play online.

Here are the links to the two official patches. Please note that when you install these patches you can't edit the DB using any DB Editor.

Thank you for the info... but this is for the PC game....I'm playing the Xbox 360 game.... where can I find any information about this?

i need help in this to, i dont have xboxlive but i would like to update my roster, how do i save it in to the game?
