stadiums editing in general? Help!

for an example, inserting new nets, or new grass textures (in stw****_base.bin file ) cause game to crash when select to play on edited stadium....what am I doing wrong?
help please

I've tried importing new textures with WEpicture decoder, and AFS Explorer 3.4 both, but it doesn't seem to work...
