im really getting annoyed at people who are talking about players being **** & critisizing them. do u people know how much those players go through!? EVERYONE of them (even 2nd league) train their gutz out to get to that status! & then there are all these WANNABE'Z critisizing them.....i dont see you there! i am 15 & play for melbourne knights & i am juz starting to realize how hard it iz to get to the top...so back off & stop badmouthing players who have devoted their lives to the game they love...& trust me u need ALOT of commitment!

Proffessional footballers at the highest level earn a truckload of money, more than educated men and women who work hard and are under REAL pressure like looking after a family and having to pay the bills.

For the privilege of playing football for a living in order to ENTERTAIN us, while at the same time earning obscene amounts of money, professional footballers (in my opinion) forfeit the right to complain about criticsm of their play.

r u telling me that a player like david beckham who earns millions for just being able to cross a ball accurately works as hard as a teacher or a doctor who dedicate all their lives to serve ppl?

i agree with u its not easy..but at the end its just a matter of getting ur body to practice it and it won't make and significant improvements to our lives thas why it shouldnt be paid for THAT much

me agree punk anyway!

ok thatz true aswell but take for example the figo saga....he didnt ask for that kind of money. he even said that it waz obscene! but what i mean by critisizing is saying they are **** & that they should've played like this & done that...& neutral or someone waz talking about REAL pressure. once ur life has become football THAT iz pressure! u play well u earn money. like hernan crespo...he saved his dad's life with the money he earned! & take for example the UEFA CUP win by Galatasaray....they were training for that victory 4 yearz ago when Fatih Terim first arrived, he put them under so much physical & mental endurance itz amazing.& the penalties....IT UNITED THE WHOLE OF TURKEY INTO 1! they had suffered earthquakes & most of them are living in poverty! but that day..all turkz forgot EVERYTHING! & celebrated for GALATASARAY! & the playerz still aren't fully over that stress they went through. i know itz true that they get TOO much money compared to the other ppl but they dont ask for that much money....itz about the ppl who put the price tagz on them.

yeah i agree..but the sad thing is that all what the people earned was pride maybe for a year then the cup will belong to somebody else..but they're stillin poverty and all this money didnt change anything..just the players dont know how to spend it and the ppl are dying!!

All major professional athletes are paid large sums of money like that, not just football players. Do they deserve that kind of money? Definately, they have to go through hell in preparing for whatever sport they play. Trying to make rich football players scapegoats for poverty in the world isn't fair, it's not their fault they are paid well while poverty still exists.
