Soccer games are realistic in many diff. ways.
PES3 is extremely realistic gameplay wise, it really resembles real life's physics. But it's not a perfect game, and we all know that. It feels incomplete. On the ohter hand the new FIFA is less than spectacular in the gameplay dept. (to say the least) but it is also realistic in other ways. The atmosphere in PES is not to be compared with FIFA.

Conclusion: If you wanna play great, fun, real football with great physics, but fat, blocky players and japanese style, then wait for PES3.
If you want to watch football, FIFA is artistically ages ahead since it resembles reality graphics wise.

So it's up to you. Do you go with the beautiful bimbo blonde or do you go with the smart, caring, loving ugly chick?

Overall, PES3 is more complete, even with all its crucial faults. I'm lucky I got both, and I enjoy both. (H)

Ok, you're basically saying you like FIFA's due to its graphics and that is your personal preference. Hardly a conclusive "truth".

For me, FIFA's players look like mummified thunderbird characters. The player animations are crude and robotic with weird faces that don't fit their heads correctly while the skin textures make them look like zombies.
I've usually said that FIFA is best for taking pretty screenshots but you can't do that anymore as it look like someting from Return of the Living Dead.

PES does use different skin tones but the player gfx are hardly "fat and blocky". Watching a game of PES3 is visually much more realistic as the amount of player movements are far greater and truer to real life.

A couple of screens to compare:
First is Vieri straight from the burns unit (FIFA04 multimedia thread)



Second is Vieri from the PES3 PC Demo (quickly replaced the italy kit with inter, so quality isn't as nearly as good as the expert patch makers)

I think u should quit the halucinating drugs and start getting real...dude u admit PES is a better game thats the only truth there...back to detox...muaha

I DID say PES is a better game, but maybe in YOUR world 8.9 is less than 8.2...:rolleyes:

I think the screens say it all, PES3 has the better models, movements, skintones, head in proportion to body and way more natural looking players.

FIFA has got some of thje worst models ever seen in a next-gen sports game, the skin tones are horrendous, the head is bigger than the torso almost, the head doesn't fit onto the body in any appealing manner, the elbows and arms look like a mild retardation, the expresions are lifeless and zombie like and the body doesn't move like people move....


This is ignoring the HUGE gameplay flaws with FIFA and ignoring that PES3 is probably the best, most realistic sports game in existance.

Graphics (players)

PES3 9/10
FIFA2004 4/10

Overall IMO. (after playing both)


PES3 10/10 (not perfect, but the best in its field by miles, so if nobody does it better, a game this good deserves a straight 10 !)

FIFA2004 3/10 (nice licences :) )
