[USA]: Finding a team to play for...?

jumbo

Starting XI
Let me just start off by saying that I'm posting this coz I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired and I'm sick and tired of not playing football. I need a good advice. I'm completely lost.

I need some help with getting me back to playing. I live in a small town, attend a community college. The only soccer team that I know of here is the local High School (where I used to go) team. Other than that, nothing. There are football fields all over the town but it doesn't seem like there are any clubs around here. My college has 2 f fields but it doesn't seem like they got a football team there, or any (a. football, hockey, basketball...) team for that matter.

What should I do, who should I turn to? I've done research on the net and come up with some teams in this state but they're all ******* U10, U13, etc. (what the ****, ******* ridiculous).

Should I ask at the college? Where else?

Final word: What do I do?

Thanks. Peace. :brow:

In Conn you may be able to find a British pub that has a team. The place where I go here in LA has their own team and other soccer players are alwalys coming in after their games.

Asking someone who lives there/might know would probably be the best thing.
Track down a teacher in the PE department, or something, and ask them.

Look for a Mexican restaurant I know a lot of the people that work at them play all the time.. at least around here. If they speak enough English play with them.

Why not start up your own team?
That's what I did when I was younger.
Wasn't that hard to do, although I live in the UK so it was probably easier for me to join a league, get a sponsor, buy kit and hire a pitch.
Just an idea for you

:D

Come to Texas it is actually pretty big here because of the Latin American community. I live in a town with about 100,000 people and on the east side of town there is a little mexican league to play in.
