Voodoo 3 Probs

I'm running FIFA 99 with Voodoo 3 and have installed the official EA Sprots patch to get triple buffereing and 800x600 display BUT the game has shadows all over the pitch and crashes from time to time.

The EA Sports patch is meant to help Voodoo 3 - am I the only one this is happening to? WJHat can I do?
