just wanted to share my thoughts on the hoo-ha going on about fifa2003 and their "all-new" gameplay engine

as u prolly know EA are experts at talking up their fifa titles whilst not delievering to hardcore futbol gamers.. heh and its now starting to bite them (KONAMI is emerging a real threat- and IMO - bout bloody time :D)

all new gameplay engine hey ..sounds great - but so have heaps of their other "promises"..

anyway - i hope they can emulate the gameplay of ISS ...otherwise it will be the same non-realistic garbage..
hehe il be surprised if theyve totally re-done the gameplay engine!
Im betting that theyre gunna edit their old engine then call it ALL-NEW, lol
dunno why i thnk EA wud do such a thing :D

screenshots looks ok , but that means sweet F A when all hardcore futbol gamers really care about is gameplay..
hold ur giddy excitement and wait for the demo kids :D

btw KCET - y thankyou ! :D

I agree with you. They have been so good at the presentations.. We were all so much looking forward to fifa2002, with all new passing system and other b*****t, but in the end, it was a disappointment (At least for me). Look at the WC2002. The less said about it, the better. Personally, I don't expect much out of the game. I think its just going to be WC2002 with more stadiums, somewhat better graphics, rewamped kits, and the leagues from FIFA2002 (Somehow, 16 sounded a familiar number to me).

I doubt that they would have done any major changes to the gameplay. But we will only know when we play it. But for sure, I am playing the demo first before getting it.

Come on Paul, that's naive! :D They said so many things in the past...

I agree with Pronewbie, just marketing, as I said earlier in another topic.

C'mon you guys. IMHO, I feel that FIFA 2002 wasn't that crappy as you guys made it out to be. It's just that EA themselves made a silly mistake to overhype an average product...
If you compare the difference between FIFA 2001 and FIFA 2002, it's huge. But still, it couldn't match this certain simulation that makes us wet our pants...

what are yall talking about.... world cup 2002 is a great game... if you play against your friends... kinda the point of multiplayer.

Some of you said that kick off 2002 is a good game. HAHA that thing blows.

Fifa is the most popular... and if konami wants to compete then the idiots should release games everywhere and on the pc :monkey:

Play against your friend with that certian simulation game..
it totally rocks~!!!

You'll see so many more random goals and things happening, playing with a friend.

Then again,
Konami do have to release that game in the states!!!!!

'till then I'll enjoy my Japanese version...kkk
