whats wrong with my assistant manager?

I'm playing with barcelona, and barcas as.mng. is Henk ten Cate.
Now, early the first season Chelsea said they where interested in buying Puyol.
When I clikced the "respond to transfer speculation" button, Henk ten Cate said that I should listen to ANY offer for him.

The same happend a few seasons later when I had Patrice Evra and Henk ten Cate said that this player didn't have any future in the club and I should listen to any offer.
Later that season Patrice Evra won the Defender of the year award with a average rating of 8,11.

Is this a bug or is Henk ten Cate a plain idiot?

PS: Naturally I didn't listen to him and did NOT sell any of the two.

no surprise really since in a game where you aren't managing barca they will sell puyol xavi and eto'o most of the time.

he got judging player bility on 14, but any friggin' ass.mng. in the world knows how important puyol is to barca and that he would not be sold for any fee.
