Where are these national anthems?!

Got the game for PC and I thought that all teams had their national anthems played before a world cup match.

Been playin all day and never does this happen.

Checked the shop etc, no sign.

Any ideas or is this not in the pc version?

What is the bloody point of including all the anthems and then not using them correctly or at all!

Yeah they are only played after the match for the winning team in a competetive match. I was quite dissapoitned too.

im 100% sure i heard the swedish nt anthem before a game.....hm..

The anthems sound really nice after the game, but it's strange that they aren't played before matches as well...

I heard that there are many federations that say that is not the country, but a football representation that plays the match, and it's a disrespect to the national simbol that is the anthem when it's been played and the crowd instead of make silence or sing the antem, they cheer, yell, curse, etc
maybe EA thinks this way
if you ask me (i know you didn't), i think it's the same at the begining or end of the match

In Uefa euro 2004 there were national anthems before the game aswell

Well 99% of them could care less about the sport. Not knowing and not wanting to know is two different things.

Nah they play some stupid drums and a jingle. Well at least England fans sing God Save the Queen with the horns etc. during the match.

North Americans are made up of many ethnic backrounds, most of which I would bet eat breath and sleep football, even the development team for WC 06 was made up of individuals from all cultures and races, so i wouldn't think that would be the reason they dropped the ball on the anthem fallacy.
