Where in FIFA 2006 can I find Karagounis? I don't see him on the Benfica roster or the Inter Milan roster.

if you read your game when you start it, you see a message saying that the databases were closed at August 24. Not our fault that benfica hired some players after that date. unfortunatelly they release only an update patch in november for EA FIFA MANAGER 06, and in that patch the benfica team is all upgraded, including the new players that entered it after 24 August.

EA should have put all the players who are just on the national squads (plus many other missing players) into a Free Agent or Unsigned pool.
You can do this yourself which makes it even more surprising that EA didn't bother doing it.
Just use unidb or CC (although I don't know if you can do it in CC) and assign the player to team 0 as well as his national team if he is on that squad as well.
Now when you go into transfers and do a search there he is. Not assigned to any team, but waiting for that to happen.
I have added all sorts of youth players and missing players this way and when they get picked up by a Club I just go find them in the transfer area and assign them to that team.
