I don't understand why people are complaining about the Fifa WC 2002 demo. I think it's a great improment on the game. Ok they said Brazil is in the demo. We know what ea are like by now so lets just call that a stuffup. Anyway surley the demo is just so we can see what the next version is like? Who cares what team's in the demo???

The only thing that needs working on for the moment is the shooting power and goal keepers. A shot from foot or head etc is way too quick and unrealistic (ball going like a bullet) but I think the manner in how the shots are taken is ALMOST realistic. We should be able to fix this with a patch anyway I hope.
Now Goal Keepers. They wave their arms around like idiots at the ball and it hits them and fall into the goal. Sometimes they just let the ball go in when its right near them. Fair enough if the shot is too good and not near them. Next is punching the call over the bar with his back facing the ball. Firstly you'd never see this or even think of doing it that way. You can't see the ball to punch it over and you'd be more likely to punch the upright. Ouch :D

Professionals?

I agree that it's ok to make mistakes but a few days have gone by now and they still are saying Brazil vs Mexico on the website.

If I were EA I would be trying to get as much right as possible before the release to keep the faith.

Also, you can't tell me that if you were going to release a game like the FIFA series that you wouldn't at least try to take into account what the fans and users are saying. That punching the ball over the bar with the back turned has been a pathetic unrealistic feature of the FIFA games for the last few years.

If I had been EA I would have released a demo (beta) months earlier, got feedback and then made as many changes based on popular opinion as possible. This is the first time totally overpowered headers have been in the game and you can't tell me that people have been asking for it to be put in the game so why did they add it?

Also, the goalkeepers are worse than in the previous two FIFA's. I agree with your criticisms of the demo and it seems to be everybody's opinion of them but EA just don't seem to want to listen to you, I or anybody else.

TristanAbbott7 those are very good points you've made.
If I was in control of Ea sports i'd also be trying to take into account what the fans and users are saying. But like you say, ea don't care. Why don't they care? Because they have so much money and they're games sell anyway. :(

But here it goes again with the continuing EA saga, they partly fix up one balls up and then add more frustrating things, the keeper takes a goalkick, you decide to stick a head under the ball when your player is somewhere around the half way line and try to head on to another player, no $$%^ing chance, once the ball connects with the head, it goes into a bluring cruise missile mode, burning the air as it impacts somewhere in the $100 seats and probably killing off 30 thousand long suffering spectators in the process, and there is another idiotic ball control bug like when you take a long ball on the foot and then if you do a double tap on one of the buttons you end up with a sort of Kung Fu $%$ing volley that screams off the boot and ends up anywhere on the park, and that is if the ball decides to land on the grass, which more often than not it doesn't as it impacts somewhere in the middle of the #$%^ing Sahara Desert, it is an insult to any player who pays for and expects a good solid footy game, EA are total bull****, and they don't really give a rats arse about any of thier Fifa game end products, and to me the really sickening part is that some guys in this forum WANT to spend hour after hour fiddling and farting around with the ini files in a futile attempt to try to fix up a game that should never ever need any fixing up, EA must be laughing there balls off at all the lot of us who are making comments in this forum about the bull**** footy games that they keep churning out, and who here is going to buy this game and then wonder why the hell they purchased it in the first place, we all know what to expect so why waste our time with the thing. Oh well, i might as well take the dog for a run,"A Blue Cattle Dog" the trusting hound has more intelligence and ball control than any of EA's football cyber droids.

That's not fair!

Hey dude, that's a little harsh. My ball has never ended up in the desert or anywhere close. True, it has flown out of the stadium and hit a kid riding his skateboard about four blocks away but it's never made it to the desert, that's just exagerating.

And no way would 30,000 people be killed by the ball, have you even seen the crowd? They look less real than they did in the 1995 version of FIFA, nobody would be killed because they're all automated cardboard cutouts!

Truly I would like to head the ball to my team players though rather than taking out one of the stewards 110 yards away!

Errrhhhh, well yes it was a little bit over the top, so i will settle for Bondi Beach and the snotting of 5000 Transvestites who haunt and flaunt the Kings Cross-Oxford St pits. The Aussies in here will know what i mean. Wow and you have actually got one of the Stewards into the play, EA are full of nifty surprises, sneaky bastards. :D

We need to make something... like: somebody who writes very well on english (not me) and all the people that see the forum send the same e-mail and we will full they mail accounts with our recomendation for the game (shots, headshots, gk, multiplayer tournaments on the same PC !!!, and other stuffs).

The problems is that World Cup 2002 is finished and now they are distrubiting the boxes and cds around the world... so, we must wait and see other ****ing game....

I will very happy the day that KCET make WInning Eleveng or PES for PC.... PLEASE GOD!
