Want to win matches on all 3 skill levels? These tactics work for me (on the PC), Im sure you've got some of your own.

-change camera to tower (gives a much better view for passing)
-pass around low and into space until a player makes a break (POSESSION is the key)
-get a speedy, accurate strikeforce
-score by making a run into the box and get half way into their box on the left or right diagonal of the goal and put a straight full power shot in just b4 the keeper makes a save. This works almost every time. If not, you often win a corner or rebound.

-For corners use 1 or 3 and instantly hold D and press the arrow key toward goal. This works all the time on amateur and pro, and sometimes on WC

-When the CPU lofts a ball in, track back (you'll often pick up the ball)

-On WC mode, defend deep with a sweeper. If the CPU has no shots, they cant score....you catch them on the break.

-Pass down the wings, get deep into their half and then pass the ball around (flee from defenders) until you get into a scoring position.

-Avoid long balls, crosses and aerial challenges on the higher skill levels (you'll be giving away possession).

-When you're winning try this flaw in the game on Amateur and Pro. With a defender, wander toward your corner flag and stay still. The CPU attacker will stand still, when he makes a move, you make a move, and he will backup and repeat. Really boring, but wins matches, equivalent on WC mode is to pass the ball around in midfield.

There are loads more, but with a bit of practice, you should be able to beat the top teams without patches or ini changes. The better you get, the less dull tactics you need to use!
