With/without ball, who changes em?

How many of you bother to mess about with the with/without ball setups? and does it make much difference, i've already won the Dutch premier division 3 years on the trot (the last time only loosing 1 game, last game of season!) i havent touched the w/wo ball so would it make my team any better?

I'm guessing that you are using PSV, AJax, or Feyenroord. With PSV, any tactic could work, they are hugely overrated in the game, far too strong.

As a tactic maker, the whole part of tactic making is editing the with and without ball screen (Wibble/Wobble).

Do you really think that say a tactic like me old chums WWW tacitc WWW2 was made just using the overview screen? Course not. You edit the with and without ball screens.

When I can be bothered to design myself a proper tactic I always use the w/w-out ball screens.

When doing proper tactics I always try to use everything (but I can rarely be bothered to do proper tactics).

I have been known to dabble with this before (H)
I rarely make tactics though.
I'm no where near as good as the people who create them on sites completly dedicated to tactics

I have my tree formation though

I have made two completely different tactics. I choose one of them, (the first is for clubs with very good players, and the second for lower rated clubs) and then slightly alter the formation-tactic to fit better with my players possitions.

Your right, i do manage PSV (although without any PSV players left ;) ) my other game i have running is with Forest but it gets a bit frustrating sometimes cause i'm 18 mill in debt hence why i have PSV in another game so i can buy players and win a bit :D

Is there any basic settings for w/wo then? or is it all or nothing, do use individual commands but the this looked like it would take ages to setup and be very hard to tell if it made much difference due to the constant variable of the opposition.
cheers

People can't make successful tactics by using the overview.

You have to edit everything.

Wibble/Wobble screens, player instructions, and team instructions. You also have to be logical when designing tactics.

for any basic settings i believe, you could just 'right-click' in any of the boxes that are outlined like so: - - - - -

I could be wrong, but it is a suggestion.

Some people really do have to read the instruction manuel.

Yes, Litmanen is right. Right click one of the 9 boxes, in the highlighted box is where the ball will be.

Without ball obviousley means you are defending and the opposition has the ball.

With ball obviousley means that your team is in possession and attacking.

Try a 4-1-2-1-2. Edit that. Without the ball, try and play the offside trap with your defenders up on the half way line and the fullbacks pushed up a bit. Not too much otherwise they will become wingbacks.

Without ball, try and just flood the highlighted zone, this seems to work best.

With ball, do not be too close together. Space out a bit.
