Here are a few of the tricks i have picked up from playing the game alot, hope u find them usefull and can add some more urself! ps. i play it on the playstation2
Taking it Round players:
- hold in L2 & R2 together then keep hitting the square button repeatidly, this will keep doing a dummy cross! hard to control wer the player is running and looks abit silly, but can be very effective!
- When running at a player just as he is about to put in his tackle(not a sliding tackle) stop! Then take off and start running again, this sheilds the ball, and lets u go by the player! Note. very usefull in World Class mode, u can nearly score streight from kick off everytime!
Taking Free Kicks
- To score a free kick on the edge of the box it could not be simpler! The computer already lines it up 4 u! just press L2 or R2 to curl it round the OUTSIDE of the wall, and get ur power bar perfect at the top!
- From inside your own half just boot the ball into the box and hold the shoot button, one of your players should get a glancing header and beat the keeper!
Extra Controls!
Scorpian kick!- when the ball has just been kicked into the air, hold L2 and double tap the circle button! Its hard to do, but if u score one, u will never get a beter goal!!!!
Take it on the Knee then volley!- Hold r2 and double tap the circle button, quite simple really!
Do Keepie ups!!- Whilst standing still hold R2 and L2 and keep hitting triangle! its cool to piss of your mates with, cos they wont know how to do it!
Cool things
- If your mate thinks he is clever passing it about the back when u are one nil down and ten minutes to go hold L1 and bring your keeper right down to him, he wont expect it, and he will most likely panic & lose the ball. Also remember bring your keeper out to your advantage as much as possible to claim loose balls in the box etc.
I never use this....but if u want ur player to make a run towards you, hold R2 and L2 and press L1. Its really not worth the effort tho!
Things i want to know!
-How do u do a sliding shot? like the computer always does??
-Can u score from a corner consistantly?
-the computer always has a big follow through with his shots! why dont i???
