World Cup Patches, Gameplay patches: which one should I use?

Hi all.

After a long time away from the FIFA series (FIFA '96 being my first and only purchase until now :o), I jumped into FIFA '02 when the price dropped. After installing it and wondering why the ball seemed to float like a balloon, I went searching for answers, and found *way* too many. :) Gameplay patches, kits, World Cup patches, ball patches, additional stadiums, etc., etc., etc.

So, I need help. This is a one or two night per week, one hour at a time hobby for me, and I don't want to waste my entire gaming time configuring 14 different patches to work with each other, only to get an error and have to do it all over again with a slightly different configuration. So, I would like to download one set of patches that is completely compatible with itself and with FIFA '02, and that I can add to as new stadiums come out (like that beautiful Old Trafford. Wow. But it's not part of a "patch", so is it compatible with all of them?)

Specifically, I've seen...

A World Cup patch including kits and stadiums at Fifafx.
.....or.....
A World Cup patch (a patch, a fix, and a "one big file" patch) at Socceraccess
......or......
An "MRA Sweetpatch", but I've forgotten where
......or......
A bunch of others that I've seen but don't want to take the time to hunt them down again.

Is one better than the other? Do they work together? Does one do something that the other ones don't?

I know that whatever you have loaded on your PC is of course the best ;), but please remember my time constraints and desire for simplicity. If it helps, here's the specs for my PC, too, since I also don't want to install something that brings my machine to its knees...

Duron 650 MHz
384 MB 133-MHz RAM
GeForce 2 Mx (32MB)

Thanks much for any help/advice/suggestions.

Hmm....nothing.

Is there a different forum I should post this in to get responses?

Thanks again,

explanation

those (the SA wc2002 patch end the fifafx wcpatch) are the best wc2002 patches (I like he best SA) and the sweetpatch is a utility that let you install every possible file for fifa. so I suggest you to get the sweetpatch and the get some of the wc2002 patches (or get the new wc2002 game)

I agree with Hakeem

Engy,
Hakeem speaks the truth on the Socceraccess World Cup patch. That includes everything...including a decent game play patch. Now, if you install Sweetpatch, the whole world of patches opens up to you. That completely installs and uninstalls all patches. You want to switch between FIFAMania's Serie A patch and the Korean World Cup patch...go to the Sweetpatch installation screen and make the switch...it's awesome baby!
A couple other ideas for you...the gameplay patches by Nickclubman are the best...you can get them at http://members.fortunecity.co.uk/nickclubman. His 1.35 is really good, even give you several options of passing ability, referees strictness, etc. Also check into the 1.36 beta he's got out there...it's a doozey as well. And, the best thing is, they download quickly and all you have to do is open them, and they lead you through the installation in your game. Also, for the latest in club management/roster patches...find Treebeard's roster 0.6 (sorry, I don't have the address), that's the best patch of its kind. And log on to soccered.com for the most comprehensive list of kits. And check Socceraccess.com, they have the new cinematics which are really cool.
I too am in a situation where I have limited time, so I try to keep things simple. Find a combination of elements that work for you and hold your interest, and stick with them.
Welcome back to the wonderful world of FIFA!

Hakeem, mutiger: Thanks a bunch. What you said are exactly the kinds of comments I was looking for. :)
