The Belarusian Language
The Belarusian language is an eastern slavic language. It's written with the cyrillic alphabet. It's spoken by about 10 millions of Belarusians. Its particularities vs. the other slavic languages are the "dzekania" (eg dzed, dzéci, vs. russian ded, deti), "tsekania" (spac', rus. spat'), "akania" (nóhi, nahá, czech nohy, noha) and "yakania" (vecer-vjatry, czech vítr-vetry). A little english-belarusian dictionary is provided by Hrysza Hajduk.
The belarusian literary language appeared in the XIXth century.

In Belarus some people also speak polish, russian, ukrainian...
