How can I get those idiots to stop backsliding????????? simple, jump jump jump like a rabbit...!!!!

I noticed that in the second half, the computer puts more pressure on attacking.
It is harder to score ever 5 mins in the second half....
\Can someone tell me how to maintain the second half goal rush??

For Fifa99_expert: Actually, what impresses me is not the goals you scored, but that you WERE NOT scored upon! Once you've figured out the AI or at least the 'dead spots' in the game where the AI won't respond, it's just a matter of how fast you can re-create the situation to score another goal. I'm not as skilled as you, so my best is 8 or 9 goals (I forget), but I've noticed that the AI tries desperately to catch up with fantastic headers from the edge of the penalty area, or its favorite - the header goal from a corner kick. Also, what speed are you playing WC at: fastest? Kind of takes the excitement out of the game doesn't it, when you're scoring every two minutes, with the same striker, with the same moves?

nope, was playing at normal speed...
the ball passing is already toooooo fast in fifa2000......who would want to play with fastest speed????????

as for not conceeding goals, i had to goalie charge on 1on1 situations with Brazil's Ronaldo(speed 7), and head away balls, and not letting them score cheap goals against you by taking free kicks, then with another touch of a header, score against you...
it's all about timing.

once you clear the ball from their attacks, counter attack them and score.

but it is harder to score in the second half...they seem to put more pressure.
does any1 know how to maintain the goal scoring touch?

I was Barcelona .... Comp was Juventus.

I was leading at halftime 14 - 0 ... outshot them 24 - 3. 4 corners for me - 0 for them. Possession 63% - 37%. Final score ... there was none ... I exited .. where is the challenge??

Is it just me ... or is all the fun gone?? I cant remember scoring more than ten goals on a consistent basis against the computer in FIFA 99, even when I was playing against crappy teams. It took me a couple of weeks just to start beating them. and those were 4 - 3 games. Stupid EA .... no wonder I still play FIFA 99.

EA Sports please make a difficulty patch...I found FIFA 99 too hard, but know I find FIFA 2000 too easy....please make more difficulty level the lowest level can be really easy while the top level almost impossible....just do something.

First game I played in WC I was chile and the com. was Paraguay, I lost 5-2 (and I began winning) and then on the second 3-0 (I was Brasil and the com. was Israel). I guess I need some practice.
