According to a caller to Soccer AMs 5 Minute Phone In Zidane has inrolled his children into a Southport school as he will soon by moving to Liverpool.

Living in Southport ive heard about this before. Theres a house worth around £1m, down the road from where Patrick Berger lives which Liverpool apparetly have bought. Also looking around this house has been a forign (maybe Zidanes spanish wife) women.

Ive also heard some more stuff and I will check out the rumours about schools as I think I know which school it is.

Yeah heard that before too. But also heard that it isnt GH as ZZ is of some religion which does not believe in having god parents.

On the rumour front though:

Campbell having press conf. tomorrow about future. Koptalk recon liverpool favs. to sign him.

Lizarazu - Signing for us sometime this summer on cut price deal.

Luis Enrique - Signing? Prob. not as its from dodgy Spanish TV station

Yeah - but also I heard in yesterday's Daily Star that Lizarazu is interesting the Scum.

Always the same - every time the Scousers have their eyes on a player the Scum suddenly take note!

I can see Lizarazu going to Liverpool, with maybe whingebag Ziege going in exchange to Bayern.

Anyway a lot of hoaxes are on the 5 minute phone in so I think the Zidane thing is all bollocks.

Yeah Andy, Ive heard about the Ziege swap too, anyone else notice just Ziege standing in the centre circle while other players where celebrating after the FA Cup final?

It was in the Times last Saturday that Man utd wanted him. They bought Fortune after we supposidly wanted him and we tricked them into buying Poborsky by pretending we wanted him but then we got Berger.

I agree that most of the speculation in all phone ins, be it 5 Min Phone in, Your on Sky Sports or TalkSport, but there was someone who rang up about Viali going to Watford around 3-4 months ago on Your On Sky Sports.

Andy5 - I agree, the Zidane thing is bollocks, the rumour has been around since Houllier became manager. Still it is a wonderful thought.. It's also good to see another keen eye who's spotted the fact that Fergie LOVES to steal transfer targets...

Stec - Zidane is Muslim, but his wife isn't and neither are his kids (one's named Enzo - not a Muslim name, the other I don't remember).

Amika, I don't think we will get Campbell because we could not afford the kind of wages he wants. If we give him 60-80,000 a week, then we have to give the same or even more to Hyypia, Owen, Fowler, Heskey, Berger and Henchoz...and then we'll be broke! :)

Besides, Sami and Stephane's success is due a lot to their chemistry and I think on his day Stephane is every bit as good as Sami - he's just so efficient you never notice him - eg. versus Roma away this season.

We will have Redknapp, Heggem and Litmanen back, and with Paddy Berger getting a British passport Igor Biscan will play more games. The only player I think we should get this summer is Lizarazu, but only then if we can swap Ziege. Shame that our system hasn't worked out for him because I still rate him as an excellent player, but he's a left wing-back and not a conventional left back like we use in our flat back four. I hope we peddle him off for Lizarazu because I would hate to see him go to another English club.

Chris Kirkland would be nice as Sander's backup, but at the price Coventry are asking (around 8 million) they can keep him.

The Arse are going to get Dudek - he's bloody incredible.

neutral i must agreed with you about henchoz, and he has good understanding with hyypia, and i've no doubt that he is a great player.. also for ziege, so sad that he cannot get into the team, i also rated him really highly... and yape, i've also notice that whoever we are interested in man u will go and stead it from us... sliverstre, and now Lizarazu...

what do you think about lizarazu??? is he going for man u or for liverpool???

Not just Silvestre - he also tried to buy Westerveld and Henchoz, not to mention the whole Poborsky/Berger thing. This is also the same guy who decied not to buy Zidane for 4.5 million from Bordeaux a few years ago because he thought it was too much.....

As for Lizarazu - well, if I was him I wouldn't leave because he's playing for the best team in Europe. But if he's decided to leave, well, three things count in our favour:

i)Houllier - yes he's French, but he was also French technical director and worked closely with all of France's top players when they were young such as Zidane, Henry, Anelka, Lizarazu etc.
ii)Markus Babbel - former teammate and friend.
iii)Jacques Crevoisier - he'll soon be announced as one of our new coaches (replacing Patrice Bergues who's off to Lens), he also played a large part in the technical development of a lot of France's top stars when they were young.

I think Lizarazu is brilliant, and the best thing is that he can play as a left wing back, or just as a conventional left back. While I love Carra and thought he did an incredible job (best defensive LB in the EPL for my money), he doesn't come forward as much as Markus, and if we could have Markus and Lizarazu coming up on either side to support the play we'd add even more goals.

If we don't get him though, it's no great loss as we still have Carra and young Vignal will play more of a role next season.

well, campbell has just confirmed that he is leaving spurs, but where to is still a mistery...

Lizarazu's case yape i saw on both bbc.co.uk and soccernet that sir alex claim that they are close in signning him, but we will have to wait and see...

Emerton is a right sided midfielder, of which we have a truck-load. Not to mention he'll need a work permit. That story is bollocks imo.

Fergie is pissing me off...

We should try to sign the worst player in the world, then United will snap him up nice and quickly. I say we 'try' to buy Kwarme and Torben Piknik again. :)
