Official guitar thread

Noisegates and stuff like that. Don't be fooled by the amps and cabinets you see on a bands' stage, they've got truckloads of equipment behind it... racks full of effects, noisegates and so on.

To me a humbucker is about it's fatter sound. Single coil pickups sound completely different.

Man, everytime I read in this thread I realise how 'at the beginning' I really am.
Single coil pickups...pickup is the mike one the guitar right? the little squares right under where you hit the strings? and what do you mean by single coil?

I ennvy you on the ESP guitar, ESP rocks , but I never liked the look of the strat. Don't know why.

I've always like the designs of some of the BC Rich guitars, they are interesting to say the least, but i'd worry about performance. Anybody got any experience with them?

Sean, if you're still a true 'Tallica head, then you'd buy the black ESP.

i already own the black ESP LTD EX, absolutely unbelievable. Great sound, EMG Pick-ups are amazing. I'm a fan of bright colours too though, mostly green and orange.

Ah awesome .....then I'd buy the red ESP Hybrid, the design is awesome

acoustic or electric?

Acoustic, although having said that I might save up for a Taylor or so, they're about 1200 euros but awesome acoustics

wow, that's a lot for an acoustic imo, but i'm sure the price compansates for the quality, but if I where to spend that much on a guitar I would rather but a electric one. But that's just me.

Anywho, I wonder the prices for guitars in your contries, where ever you are from, I'm looking for an average price for the following models:

Gibson Les Paul Standard
Gibson SG Standard
ESP Eclipse
ESP Kirk Hammet KH-2
LTD EC-1000

I don't expect you guys to know the prices of each model, but if you where to be sitting on the info, please tell me. I would like to compare to the Norwegian prices, which I belive are WAY to high.
