Exactly.. Also, Cesc would have had a better idea on what to do when winning.. Him and Rosicky.. One has to see that the amount of important player injuries at Arsenal is definitely bigger than anywhere else.. I hope Andrei's isn't serious...

But all in all it wasn't a bad game for Arsenal, and if they get a win in the game in hand (against Bolton I think), they still get the same 9 points as United...

I don't think so, though. The free-kick foul I don't remember, but the first United goal is a typical penalty. Rooney was clever enough to know that all he needed was get to the ball first, Almunia, touching him or not, would do the rest. The same thing happened with Eduardo against Celtic. Maybe Rooney was already falling, but the fact is he knew it would earn him a penalty; just as Edu, he was cleverer than the keeper.

And, again, as I've been saying for a long time, Almunia is probably the weakest link in the team. If not the weakest, definitely a replaceable link.

Your statement is so stupid and so contradiction its not even worth a second read nor should anyone read it for the first time. Just stop typing, you are embarrassing yourself.

Neither Goal Manure scored was contributed to run of play but due to terrible officiating. It was a clear dive by Rooney... Sure contact was made... I can make contact too when I basically stop, bend my knees and let my feet drag behind. Oh wait thats exactly what Rooney did. This is all besides the fact that he kicked the ball OB and had ZERO chance of a goal opportunity. Mike Dean has always been a terrible official and how could they let this idiot play in such an important match is beyond me...

The fact that you didn't understand my post doesn't make it "stupid". I was making an argument and you come bashing up. You're such a big, big boy. Mommy must be proud.

Eduardo's ban better get over-turned cause it's just rediculous, if the ref saw it....it would have been a yellow card and thats it, but because the ref made a mistake it costs him 2 games....UEFA is run by a bunch of ****wits

Thomas Vermaelen has been named the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for August.
The Belgian defender scooped the official Club prize after a string of powerful performances at the heart of the Arsenal back four.
Thomas made a dream debut at Goodison Park, heading home Robin van Persie's free-kick to give Arsenal a two-goal lead. They went on to win 6-1 as the new boy adapted quickly to English football.
The summer signing from Ajax was just as impressive at Celtic in the Champions League, making a number of timely blocks and interceptions while developing a strong partnership with William Gallas.
Thomas' standards remained high in his three other August games against Portsmouth, Celtic and Manchester United and he has been recognised by the Arsenal fans with 34.9 per cent of the votes cast.
Gallas, who scored three goals last month, finished second in our poll with 22.5 per cent. Andrey Arshavin was third.

Highly deserved that's why I voted for him. Anyway big game at Middle Eastlands tomorrow (gonna kill Ade (H)!). Cesc is back and Theo and...Rosický could make the bench :). I like times like this...

Will we ever see Rosicky play at his best again? :(

yes he played a fantastic match and I think he would be essential for Arsenal.

Arsenal played a great match at front but they were poor and so unlucky at the back (I think City had 6 chances and score 4 of them). If Arsenal had their chance the draw was the least for Arsenal (at least the two last strikes from Van Persie). Van Persie goal was really really great, I think he scored similar goal against Chelsea a year ago.

Adebayor's one hell of the player but the guy is one nasty bastard. He didn't show any sign of sportsmanship with hitting van Persie in a head and that wild behavior in front of Arsenal fans, and if you're not done with that I got ...

To be honest, you miss a player like young Viera to organise your back.

I agree, Adebayor's one dirty ****. Shouldn't have did what he did with the celebration, and pretty sure he'll get suspended if they review the stomp on Van Persie.

He was our best player next to Vermaelen, 1 goal 1 assist from him.

Adebayor is an a**hole...should have been carded for what happened to RVP, classless celebration and in the buildup to the game he was talinking all sorts of sh*t about Bendtner and Arsenal fans saying stuff like:
"City is that the fans are truly fans. They love you. Arsenal have a lot of fans who are not fans. Arsenal have fans from America and Jamaica. Today they are Arsenal fans, tomorrow they will be Liverpool fans and after tomorrow they will be Manchester United fans.
"

Pretty stupid if you ask me, and give City four more years if they continue like this, there will be a Malaysia derby whenever they play United.

We were quite urgent in the last few mins. and should have 3 goals and again like the United game we should have killed it off it the first few mins. RVP is not as sharp as he should be (could be Ramadan??).

Almunia is not the best keeper we could have,to say the least (Given would have been good but no chance now) and once again: MELO :(.
It's not all doom and gloom and Standard Liege on Wed. so "Let's f*ck 'em up".
