How To Install FIFA 13 Without Origin ?

I doubt it.

While sliders and First Touch are without a doubt the best things EA have ever added to Fifa, Origin is without a doubt the worst.

I'm new to FIFA, so I'm not familiar with Origin. How reliable are these sites that say they sell the FIFA 13 discs? Also, can we backup our FIFA 13 game on our own discs or jump drives and reinstall from those items if we ever need to reinstall our computer operating system? Thanks guys. I hope everyone gets to enjoy this game!

You mean CD key sites? I'm still not sure whether they're even legal or not.

No, I'm thinking of game.co.uk or Amazon.co.uk. I'm in the USA, so I'm just a but hesitant to buy something from overseas and a site I've never used. I'm not even sure they'll shop overseas. But that might be a solution for all of us who aren't comfortable with Origin.

you can stop it connecting to Origin, installing without it don`t think so.

open the file
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
You will have to open the file in notepad.
enter the following lines after the last line in the file

127.0.0.1 ci-main.loginregistration.eadm.ea.com
127.0.0.1 motd.dm.origin.com
127.0.0.1 store.origin.com
127.0.0.1 drh.img.digitalriver.com
127.0.0.1 drh2.img.digitalriver.com
127.0.0.1 drh1.img.digitalriver.com
127.0.0.1 eaeacom.112.2o7.net

127.0.0.1 friends.dm.origin.com:443
127.0.0.1 avatar.dm.origin.com:443
127.0.0.1 ecommerce.dm.origin.com

127.0.0.1 gossjcprod-qos01.ea.com
127.0.0.1 demangler.ea.com
127.0.0.1 vmp.tools.gos.ea.com

The lines in Green will stop your connection to Origin. So you can start Fifa without connecting to Origin.
The lines in red will stop Fifa from communicating to EA servers.
You can use one or both.Depends upon you.

Sorry mate, I'm pretty sure wherever you buy a boxed copy, or a digital copy, you'll have to jump through Origin's hoops. When I first installed Fifa 13, I kept getting 'DX something or other isn't signed' and it refused to install. I was on the verge of posting yet another 'Origin is a P.o.S' thread, when it decided to cooperate. Origin is the worst thing to ever be applied to Fifa.

Why not buy from Amazon.com? I think you can trust Amazon.co.uk - Amazon is a massive, global company who wouldn't risk messing customers around for fear of their reputation going down the toilet - but you'll have to pay much more shipping and wait much longer as well. :) I can tell you without a doubt that a) if they ship to you and b) if you're prepared to wait longer, amazon.co.uk and game.co.uk are both fully trustworthy companies, I've never had problems with either. :) A word of advice though: if you go with Amazon, buy from amazon themselves and not a third party seller. I've had no problems personally, but you never know - and since you're from the US, any issues will be harder and take longer to resolve.

With so many people looking for cracked versions, even on this site, I don't blame these game devs one bit for Origin, Steam, etc. That's the dishonest world we live in today, bottomline, get used to it. Install Origin, install the game, then simply shut off your internet connection or go offline, whatever. Origin being online isn't required to start and play the game, so it's a non-issue once the game is installed.

I agree - too many people can't be arsed to put their damn hands in their pockets! Steam itself came about because some twat hacked Half Life 2 before it was ready, causing a complete rewrite and God knows how much in costs to Valve. My point is, Origin is rubbish - Steam has very rarely given me any problems - and they've always got fantastic bargain sales - you can't say that about Origin...

With the last two posts I feel the need to make sure people know, as a new member of the forums, I'm looking for a legitimate copy if the game. I just like to have the discs themselves. I was never a fan of digital downloads. It sounds like we're stuck with it in this instance.

There are plenty of legit sites, that's not a concern. Amazon, ShopTo, etc. As for re-installing, I have several backup copies of my FIFA 12 master files. When I had to re-format and re-install recently, I simply put the backup files in the correct location. Origin then downloaded the required updates, took maybe two minutes then the game was installed again.

I used to prefer boxed as well, but these days they don't put anything in the box besides the disc and the code, so I prefer digital these days. :)

because its unneeded & only lengthens the title of the thread.

you dont need a title to tell you something is spyware, if you didnt already know after reading its agreement you are a dummy.
