Hex editor is not needed and very complicated. All you need is Moddingway's tool and Excel, or a program like Excel which can be downloaded for free. I use WPS Spreadsheets (free online). I can help you set up Moddingway's tool to work with FIFA 18 as it was created for FIFA 17.

FIFA 17 is different from FIFA 18, FIFA17SquadFilesConverter may not work with FIFA 18?
Squad Converter is hit and miss , sometimes it will work most time it didnt , use HxD hex editor , works all the time
Dont think you can , may be able to when galaxyman gets done with frosty tool , Old fifa 17 legends are not in either the squad file or the futsquad file for fifa 18

I wish I could play with him, but I did not find him among the legend, do you know to answer me if in Fifa 17 it is possible to play with Sol Campbell? the only thing I know is that his ID is 388 I think ..
Squad Converter works flawlessly when the tables are exported and edited in Excel or similar program. Zero issues, works every time. Much easier and simpler than hex editing.

Maybe tomorrow I will start a DB editing thread with instructions and tips, including how to setup and use the Moddingway FIFA 17 Squad Converter with FIFA 18, as well as instructions on how to add legend players. It seems a lot of people are wanting to do some DB editing this year, that's good.

Most here have learned by doing, trial and error. Suggestion: click the Moddingway tutorial/file links I provided and grab those files. Download a free Excel-like program. You will then have everything you need to easily and successfully edit the db, including adding hidden/legend players. But do some practice editing first. Start with something simple and easy like editing agility ratings to 1, then see if your edits show up in-game. That's how you familiarize yourself with the tools and process.
One key tip about editing with the DB Master tool: first create a new folder, then use the DBM export function to export all tables into that folder. Edit tables using Excel, after which import the tables back into the db. That's the easiest and most reliable editing method.

did everything as you said, but alas it does not work out in the game when the composition is applied, it gives an error that the squad file is corrupted, did everything as you said
You need to be specific. Did what? Edit the db? Add hidden players? Or set up the Moddingway FIFA 17 Squad Converter to work with FIFA 18?

changed db. added hidden players to the teamplayerlinks, returned the table to db and converted back to the squad. The game shows that the file is corrupted

Adding players is complicated, and something you shouldn't be trying to do if you're new to all this. You really need to spend a couple days testing and editing simple, easy things first so as to figure out how these tables and tools work. After that you'll be ready to try something more complicated, like adding players. That's my suggestion.
Open the players table and edit one thing, like the agility rating for one player, then save and see if your edit worked in-game. Try different tests like that. Then do the same with the teamplayerlinks table, choose one player and move him/her from one team to another, then see if it worked in the game.

I would gladly have tried, but alas, all the time, it takes away work, there is not much free time left to parse this process. really want that would all hidden with real faces were in the game.
I will tell you how to add a new player to the players table:
There are 18,000 players in the players table. Open the table in Excel. Choose one player, and right click on his/her line of values. Click COPY. Scroll down to the bottom of the table. In the empty line, right-click and PASTE that player's line of values. Now find the PLAYERID column, and change the ID to the ID of the hidden player you want to add.
You have now created one new hidden player.
The trick is to find players already in the game to copy, who match your hidden players' position stats, size, etc. That means less values you have to edit, and less work.
