Make America Great Again
I don't know if Sublime made any hits really...I prefer What I Got, really just reminds me of summer and just chillin in the sun. Don't know why. I mean, even Robbin The Hood, which most people hate, is just brilliant; they really were better than Nirvana in my opinion.

The Unplugged in New York is one of the greatest concerts of all time, you can just hear the passion and soul in Kurt's voice. I mean the guy clearly just lives, breathes, and bleeds music.

Sublime's not even the best in its own genre, no way it would be better than Nirvana, that's just my opinion of course.

.....whos the best in the genre?

I dont think bands like Operation Ivy are in the same genre as Sublime. Sublime is way less punk.

From the few songs I know from both Sublime and Nirvana I also prefer the raggae-ness of Sublime over Nirvana. But I don't know if they can--or should be compared.

Wants to be a Superstar
I like both Sublime and Nirvana, but I like Nirvana way more. They were an incredible band with a lot of energy and they changed a generation. And yes, unplugged is one of the best concerts of all time.

As for Sublime songs, the best one is Seed, imo one of the most underrated songs out there :rockman:

Slayer is something in that genre.

Nah Slayer is more Thrash metal, quite similar to Metallica's first few albums.. Opeth is death metal..

anyway, RIP Kurt ...

Nope, Opeth isn't death metal either. Dying Fetus is.

Opeth is a tough one, some of their songs are 10 minute soft ballads and others are the total opposite..

Fan Favourite
People shouldn't have really been surprised at Kurt's death, really. Heroin was heavily on the Seattle scene.

Mother Love Bone were tipped to make it big before Andy Wood OD'ed.

Nirvana did make it big before Kurt discovered a loaded shotgun and Layne Stanley lost his battle with heroin addiction 8 years later.

It's a sad loss but when you're married to Courtney Love, you can't expect much moral support. D'oh!

I realise what Opeth is, I own 3 of their albums and have seen them live, but whatever they are, they aren't and never have been death.

Opeth is Scandanavian Metal, such as In Flames and Children of Bodom. Anyways they're an amazing band.

O and I forgot in my early post RIP Kurt Cobain

Oooohhhhh....... Sorry I offended everyone. Not sure if that is sarcastic or not, so I'll leave it and say it is not.

I have been watching politicians on how to backflip.

I can't believe it's been a decade.

Above all things, this is what sums best the feeling I have in me. Can't believe so much time has passed by already.

Here's how I found out Kurt had died. Hope nobody dies of boredom.
I remember some time earlier, when Kurt OD'd in Rome, rumours floated about that he had died. So, in that April night, when I heard on the Radio 'Energia' (dead aswell) that KC had committed suicide I didn't pay that much attention. [Man, I even remember I was playing computer. That day marked us all.]
However, a few minutes later, people started calling the radio, some crying, some just asking if it was real. So I tuned in another radio station, TSF (sort of a CNN radio thing, here in Portugal), and on the hour break they opened with the news Nirvana's lead singer had died. That's when I knew he was dead.

Guys, I still have the newspaper stating Kurt Cobain had died. :(

Carpe Diem, lads.
